While the market is full of distortion pedals, few emulate a classic amp. Imagine being on a gig where you can’t use your own amp. You can use the California pedal as an EQ boost and transform a dull-sounding amp into an inspiring tone. Up to now the only one I could not put hand on was the VT Bass. I trust the values from the tables on this thread but they are a little odd. The gain is too high and the waveform is being cropped, so if someone have this beauty and can get some good hi-res gutshots from the inside of it , to get the resistor values, at least, will be a nice start point to have a consistent schematic for this version also. Thats a lot of work there. You could design a pcb with mini switches to make a all-in-one version of these. I eventually converted it into the British Sound, that one can be bassy but its more controllable than this calif sound.

Last week arrive in in my hands a Joyo California sound... For sure I reverse it... I note there are some componentes that are not present on the other versions that are mounted on this one, like the caps and the resistor on the filter after the CabSim before the Level pot. Looking into the Joyo Wooden sound, it is very hard to find a pedal that this could be a clone of. The closest thing I can think of is the Boss Acoustic Simulator. However, this Wooden sound is its own unique pedal. Simulating the acoustic guitar is one of the hardest effects to get right. And Joyo has hit the nail on the head with this Acoustic Sim. Whilst Acoustic Simulators will of course never really sound like the real thing. This is about as close as it gets to achieving a well rounded acoustic tone from your electric guitar by the stomp of a switch. Ironman Amp Simulators band EQ section and controls for level, gain and voice gives you huge scope for tone shaping to get the most accurate all California cream sound! it allows you to tailor your sound just the way you like it. A truly great, natural tube sound with none of the ‘fizz’ you expect from a budget pedal. Rugged Aluminium case and bypass circuitry make this the best value pedal around! Also, it’s ideal for recording, as you can plug it directly into any DAW, and it sounds pretty good. or, could it be related to the 42nF instead of 4.7nF cap thing that you spotted? There are a lot of comments that this pedal has way too much bass and I wondered (long shot) if the two might be related.Part of this 10 Series by Joyo, are some amp simulator clones. The originals are made by Tech 21 Sansamp. Who are well known for their amp simulation and preamps. These Joyo’s are great clones of these Tech 21 amp sims. They can also be used in multiple ways. Firstly you can use them as a normal stompbox to achieve the tones of your favorite amps. Secondly, you can use these as a preamp straight into a PA system. And lastly, you can use these as a preamp for recording purposes. I think I can get the same kind of sound with a bandpass filter set on the same frequency than Character Stage and softclipping stage and a final blend with clean signal... However, there seems to be quite a lot of confusion surrounding whether or not this Joyo is in face truly isolated. The Voodoo Labs power supply most certainly provides truly isolated outputs. And whilst this power Supply 4 claims to have isolated outputs. The consensus that I have heard is that this is not true isolation. However, this is not confirmed. If you’re wondering if this is still a good power supply, I would 100% say YES it is. Despite apparently not being truly isolated, I’ve yet to experience unbearable noise. So, for the price in compassion tot eh Voodoo labs it is hard to go wrong. If you’re the type of person obsessed with their power supply (no disrespect, I totally understand), then this is probably not the choice for as it might be worth forking out the extra for the Voodoo Labs. Joyo Power Supply 2 Clone Of Nothing Just by looking and hearing the effects from the 10 and 30 series, we can see Joyo make some of the best Chinese clone pedals. However, as I mentioned at the start of this list, there are essentially three series or ranges of pedals by Joyo. I’ve covered the 10 series clones as well as the 30 series clones already.
