Couplers - These have two threaded ends that allow two pipes or tubes to be joined, welded (steel), brazed or soldered (copper, brass etc.) together. Barbed fittings can be pushed straight in to 16 mm outside diameter LDPE pipe. This is however a lot of pushing and can be made much easier by heating the pipe prior to installation. If you are fitting a few fittings then leaving the pipe in a warm place over night or in the sun during the day will ease installation however if you are fitting a lot of them then you should heat the end of the pipe in some very hot water or heat it using a Blow torch. If you are using a blow torch then position the pipe in the flame so that the heat is evenly spread round the pipe. Hold it in the flame for 2 seconds and then remove it from the flame. Now insert the barbed fitting in to the pipe. Our press-fit fittings range includes connectors, reducers, tees, elbows, couplers & more from top brands such as IBP Conex >B<, Pegler and BESt. Threaded fittings made with stainless steel take advantage of the metal’s strength, resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. Types of stainless steel threaded pipe fittings

Iron – Malleable (ductile) iron is a good choice in industry because it is stronger than copper and plastic but it is rarely used in domestic installations. Pipe fittings help the flow of liquids or gas. They are used to connect systems of straight pieces of pipe and can change the direction of flow. Fittings can also assist flow through diameter changes between sections of piping. There are many different types of fittings and these can all be made out of different materials. Common Types of pipe fittings Brass Oyster™ converters are available in our range of Oyster System. Suitable for use on heating and potable water systems, Oyster converters connect copper tubes to female threaded fittings, radiators and valves. All the pipe fittings to get the job done Elbow fittings are used to connect pipes at curved angles (such as 90 degree and 45 degree curves) depending on the model Stainless steel pipe fittings are used to connect steel pipes. Tapered threads are cut into the end of the pipe, sealant is applied in the form of thread-sealing compound or thread seal tape (which is also known as PTFE or Teflon tape), and a pipe wrench is used to thread the pipe into a threaded fitting. Stainless steel fittings benefit from the metals strength, resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. What are stainless steel pipe fittings used for?The WRAS approval determines that this product can be used in all UK domestic plumbing applications including drinking water installations – as well as central heating and underfloor heating applications. PVC & ABS – light and non-toxic. They have more 'give' than copper therefore when water freezes and expands in the piping there is little chance of it busting. Stainless Steel – Often used for aesthetic reasons where plumbing is exposed. More corrosion resistant than copper but more rigid. Reducer - If a pipe needs to change diameter a reducer fixture connects the different sized ends together. WRAS Approved– This pipe has been tested and certified with full UNITED KINGDOM ‘WRAS’ approval – a rigorous testing procedure which certificates only the highest quality products as fit for use in UK domestic water applications.

Elbow - These fittings are installed between two pipes to create a change of direction. They have either a 90 or 45 degree bend in the centre. The standard barbed fitting is used for connecting 16mm LDPE pipe together. The Fittings are made in the EU using UV stabilised plastic. The sharp barbs make sure that the Joint is reliable and once fitted they are rated to 6 bar unlike normal domestic barbed fittings that are rated to pressures between 2.1 and 2.8 bar. The reason for this superior performance is the and number of barbs and their shape. Once fitted they are almost impossible to remove and if a mistake is made in many cases they have to be cut off. This is because of the size and sharpness of the barb and this can only be made with precise tooling and technical expertise found in European factories. Using Barbed Fittings At BES, we offer a comprehensive range of refrigeration fittings, including tees, elbows, reducers, and end caps.Pipe fittings can be made in many different materials. Some materials are better for some functions than others: If there's a copper or brass end feed capillary fitting you need, BES has it. Our unbeatable collection includes elbow fittings, tee joints, reducers, stop ends & more.

We have a wide range of pipe fitting accessories available. From PVC and ABS to stainless steel and brass, there is a huge selection to choose from. Our top brands include RS PRO, Legris, George Fischer and JG Speedfit. What are pipe fittings? Whether you’re working for parts for a domestic heating system, exterior commercial system or simply want fittings with improved corrosion resistance, we have the stainless steel fittings you need. Stainless steel screwed, flexible, compression, tube and press-fit ranges are available. Copper – can withstand very high temperatures. Always used for the final connections made to boilers/ furnaces for central heating. Bulkhead adapters that can connect tubing or piping of different sizes and configurations through a panelPEX – Cross-linked high-density polyethylene (PEX) is ductile and tough and works well in very low temperatures. When installing be aware that it can expand drastically and it needs to be shielded when used outdoors because it is susceptible to UV. We pride ourselves on having everything covered when it comes to pipe fittings. Our full range includes: Solder fittings, also known as capillary fittings, are short sections of smooth pipe designed to slide over the outside of the mating tube. Solder wire is fed then around the edge of the fitting and heated to seal it. Stainless steel solder fittings benefit from the metals strength, resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning.

Whether you’re looking for elbows, plugs, caps, nipples, naming but a few, our selection of malleable iron fittings will have what you are looking for.Our high-quality compression fittings selection includes adaptors, couplers, elbows, nuts, olives, stop ends, tees, tank connectors & many more.
