Now I see what you mean. OK. The Aux Out on the T9 and the T9 speaker output are synchronously controlled by the T9 VOLUME: you turn up the volume and both the volume of your main loudspeaker and subwoofer output will go up accordingly. This has NOTHING to do with the subwoofer CROSSOVER. Or, put it this way. the Subwoofer Crossover ONLY adjusts the sub and has NO effect on the main loudpspeaker. You hear a difference but that is ALL from the subwoofer and your main loudspeaker is NOT changed at all under any circumstances. After being vastly criticized by several online reviewers/YouTubers, Aiyima has released a new version of the T9, called T9 Pro, which has solved this annoying issue. And while the designer was there, he completely changed the internal circuits as well: new input tubes (now JAN5725) and new chipsets. Have a look at the officially supplied chart below to detect all the differences. Even the power supply is different, since the T9 accepts also 32V now. Actually, it's a completely new amp. When I listen to orchestral pieces like Bartok's "Concerto for Orchestra", I like to hear good instrument separation. I think that this class D amp with vacuum tubes does that better than my good Sony AVR TV room driving vintage Bang and Olufsen front speakers. (Polk Surround) speakers. This difference in sound may be just a matter of taste. The medium-grey matte finish is flawless, and the manufacturing quality excellent considering the modest asking price. The amp also comes with a remote which is a nice touch. I unfortunately haven't tested it since I don't have AAA batteries, but it's nice they included it.

Convenient and works fine, iPhone sees it as "BT HIFI AUDIO". I tried 6-8 meters connection, worked fine. The Decision Yes, call me superficial. I immediately fell in love with the SEXY (VU) meter! But, unlike some of you, I'd not easily give in! :-) Certainly I have no need for another amp (or so I thought). While the almost universal digital connectivity appeals, what seals the deal for me was the AUX OUT. I wasn't sure whether it is Fixed or Variable, but as some users used it for subwoofer it should be a Variable out. It is, and more on this later. In terms of soundstaging, its performance isn't on a par with the other two amps, in the sense that the stage is geometrically correct, but a bit small in size. Moreover it appears more focused and located in between the speakers. Again, I'm quite sure the cheap tubes play a significant role here.

Another question one might have is how this one compares to the Aiyima A07. I find both to be entirely capable devices, but it depends on what you're interested in. The A07 is a powerful, no-frills amp at a great price, so if all you want is something simple I can still happily recommend the A07. However, the T9 PRO features some nice added bonus features like Bluetooth, bass/treble adjust, and looking extra cool while being more compact overall. I find its compactness to be particularly nice as my desk is quite small, so I would find this suitable for desktop PC usage in a private office or a small dorm. If you happen to own an A07 already, I believe you can connect them together, though I haven't tried that. the amp and tubes can get a bit hot after awhile. Nothing too concerning, but if you happen to have very small children I would be cautious. For most people though, it shouldn't be a problem. I assume by nature of being a tube amp, this is fairly normal behavior. Where is the Factory The factory (in Guangming, 光明) is operated by Mr Liu’s friend, about an hour away in SZ from the headquarter. Mr Liu forwarded a few pics of the factory, but I hope to visit it personally soon. Personally I had been "playing" with it quite a lot. I put it in my car (love it), tube-rolling it, put it in my living and hook it up with DIY speakers so I don't have to power up my main system just to watch youtube etc. Aiyima T9 Design At the heart of the T9 is the AC6926C Bluetooth chip, which besides BT conversion performs all control functions (volume, tone controls, selector and relay). Digital Inputs go through the MS8412. The 6K4 tube is basically a buffer (the Aux Out does go through it). Amplification functions are carried out by first the NE5532 and, of course TPA3221 chips.

How was the Company Founded Founder Mr Liu loves music but is not at all an audiophile. He was in other businesses before as Yima, so when he decided to enter this business he just added Ai, love in Chinese, to the name. You can see that in the photos. But he obviously had found the right people to assist him. A: Since power consumption is considered in the design of this machine, Bluetooth does not work when other channels are used. You must switch to Bluetooth input mode to search for pairing. In contrast to Round 1, this time I listened seriously for much longer, in the hope to find out more about the amp section. Another negative with this amp is when I used a much higher quality external dac (SMSL VMV D1SE- 6 times the cost of the amp), I noticed vocals had a lot of grain. Editor's Note 2/2/23:Readers may be interested in this newly published Video of the Making of Aiyima T9 Pro. It shows in detail how an Aiyima product is made. The T9 did a very competent job, just as it did with my main loudspeakers in the study (see Part I). Keep the T9 POWERED. Then: a) Walk over to the T9 WITH your device; b) Take off the BT antenna and wait a few seconds; c) Hold the device close to the T9 and connect with the T9; d) when you see "connected" re-attach the antenna and enjoy! Well, my Aiyima T9 arrived today and i've been playing music with it for the past 5 hours. I have to say that i'mquite impressed by how it sounds. The difference isn't too big, SE sounds a little less dynamic/more compressed, a little less 3D and has somewhat less bass It should be noted that the “LS3/5A” is less efficient than the Floorstanding Sansui in the study. In the latter, after significant revamping ( here), I can get utter tube bliss with my APPLause 300B amp - no apologies, no if’s, and’s or but’s. Not quite so in the larger LR. As to whether this loudspeaker really replicates the legendary BBC sound, the answer is more complicated and shall have to wait for a later article.
