It looks like I got 9.9 mm for the height of the lug, where you got 9.7. I think that's where the difference lies. I have scrape marks across the top of it where I forced it to go on. All of them are like within .05 of each other.

Our new price match policy guarantees you the same price as other retailers so you’re alway getting the best deal possible... AURELIUS owns WEX so essentially WEX owns Bowens. This means that Bowens is simply an own-brand product of WEX. They are not buying Bowens heads and redistributing them, meaning they aren’t marking up the products price to sell them on and this means they have the largest margin to play with when it comes to selling the products. The Forza 60 is directly compatible with a purpose-built line of Forza 60 light modifiers, while the included Bowens S-Mount adapter expands compatibility to a massive selection of light modifiers, including but not limited to Nanlite's line of full-sized softboxes and umbrellas. The Forza 60B from Nanlite is a Bicolour monolight style LED with remarkable light output relative to its small size. Weighing only 1.83 lbs, the Forza 60B employs a COB LED module with a variable colour temperature range from 2700K to 6500K. With the included reflector, the Forza 60B outputs 13830 Lux of 5600K daylight-balanced light at 1 meter. All while maintaining a high average CRI/TLCI of 96/98, ensuring accurate colour rendition. Just to be clear, I currently have no affiliation with Bowens, WEX, or any of these other companies in question and I am writing and sharing this due to my own personal curiosity and interest, nothing more. everything else fits otherwise despite the differences. I got 10.5 mm in depth on all three lugs where you got 9.8, and a rough average of 9.9 mm for the width of the lug where you got 9.9. I say rough because two measured 9.75 and the last one measured at 10.05mm. But unfortunately, I also think this proliferation of the S-Fit was ultimately one of the causes of their downfall. Before long, competitively priced Chinese strobe companies like Godox began manufacturing S-Fit strobes that were good enough for all to use and at a price point to see them sideline the bigger Bowens.

Take the Nanlite Forza 60B's power and versatility to a new level with the included Forza 60 Battery Grip. By no longer relying on light stands for support, the Forza 60B can now be used anywhere and everywhere, perfect for run and gun filmmaking, creative effects and event photography. I have some old Bowens mono lights that refuse to die, they're like old Marshall amplifiers! But I can't get the L fit softboxes anymore so is there a S to L adapter? Also, what is the S type diameter as I may be able to 'modify' an aftermarket softbox. With one small easy height adjustment, the same adapter can be used to mount either the NEO 3 or AEOS 2 COLOR PERFECTION - The output of a light is important, but without color accuracy, a ton of time and money will be lost in post-production. The Forza 60 features a CRI/TLCI of 98/95 meaning color reproduction will be precise.NOTE: There is a concern that, depending on the light you're using, the material of the round hole in the softbox may occluded part of the flashcube. For example, they have to buy other photographic lighting heads like Profoto and then mark up the price to resell them. Whereas this is not the case with their new Bowens own brand. Godox is the chosen production partner but the new gear will be produced to the pre-existing Bowens specifications.’

There’s one piece of info to take note of here and although seemingly innocuous, time will tell if it’s important.

Snoot

I have been using umbrellas for quite a while now and now looking to start using larger modifiers, particularly Octaboxes of around 150cm. Now I know what youre gonna say: "You wont have enough power blah blah blah" Yeah I know, thats not the question :)

But apart from the mechanical challenges (the L type diameter is approx 16cm, the opening in the speedring adapter is 14cm, so some creative bending and shaping will be required) I wonder if the flash tube itself won't end up in a too shallow position inside the softbox. It already is somewhat receded in the old Bowens Mono Bronze and Solver units (I have of them myself, next to my Gemini's), and with the addition of the speedring adapter , with the softbox on top of that, may risk not protruding far enough inside the softbox. Take the Nanlite Forza 60's power and versatility to a new level with the included Forza 60 Battery Grip. By no longer relying on light stands for support, the Forza 60 can now be used anywhere and everywhere, perfect for run and gun filmmaking, creative effects and event photography. The Forza 60 LED from Nanlite is a monolight style light fixture with remarkable light output relative to its small size. Weighing only 1.83 lbs, the Forza 60 employs a COB LED module to output 18820 Lux of 5600K daylight-balanced light at 1 meter. All while maintaining a high CRI/TLCI of 98/95, ensuring accurate colour rendition. Continued access to adjust light settings on touchscreen or wirelessly control from the Rotolight App So at nearly 1.5 million flashes a piece, I don’t think anybody could argue their expectations versus the reality from 7,000,000 flashes being fired through those things. Utterly incredible pieces of kit in my opinion.I have just been through all this. There are basically two common mounts, for more expensive modifiers (and strobes) they tend to use the bowens mount whereas the cheap modifiers are usually for the cheap Chinese strobes and they use the Elinchrom mount - I am not sure if it is actually a mount per se but really a standard diameter. Some suppliers refer to it as a 'Standard' mount. You can easily get adapters from elinchrom to bowens if you need them. I have just got a Neewer soft box to go with a Neewer 250w strobe and the total cost was less than a speedlight ! The quality of both the softbox and the strobe is really good although it would be better to keep the soft box permanently erected as I am not sure how well it would stand up to repeat de/re construction. Unless you need to use the flashes outside, then personally I do not see the point in getting more than one for use as externally as the strobes are cheaper, more powerful and cost a fraction of a speedlight to run. You do have wires across the floor though so you have to be aware of that. Saying that, I was expecting the cheap strobe to have a miserly amount of wire but not so, it is very long. The modelling light is poor and does not vary in brightness but at least it is better than a speedlight that has none. I am not sure how the strobes will be in action but 250w should be enough for me. I once had a pair of 500w bowens (Gemini ?) ones and they were just too powerful for my rooms.
