PDF / EPUB File Name: Diary_of_an_Oxygen_Thief_-_Anonymous.pdf, Diary_of_an_Oxygen_Thief_-_Anonymous.epub There was Jenny. She was the one who threw the beer in my face. I was thrilled to have had a hand in causing so much rage. The very fact that they were naturally caring and loving would be the milestone that weighed them down. The formula is perfect. The nurse becomes willing to sacrifice herself in the patient. But the patient isn’t suffering from an external illness, he’s suffering from self-inflicted wounds. The nurse wants to prevent him from this pain. The patient wants her to feel the pain, too.” The worst part is that this was the woman he had been in a relationship with for four years. His first victim, which he somehow blamed. After her came a string of dating with different torture methods but the same outcomes. This is basically about a loathing, self-absorbed, misogynistic alcoholic in self-destruct mode that gets off and only feels better about his own pathetic life by destroying the lives of others but in a romantic situation. While the story is written in a diary or journal format, we are lead to believe that the narrator is telling the story of his own personal life. All of his past personal experiences. The DIARY is definitely dark and haunting, yet unusually full of brutal honesty and has occasional bits of humor. The author reflects upon his life, from the narcissistic abusive actions in his past to the present day where he has gotten sober, stopped the abusive actions and is trying to convince himself that what he is doing is "normal" the entire time.

Now, aside the fact that the book was narrated by an insensitive, inconsiderate bitter misogynist, I vehemently disliked it for its style; the writing was terrible, inconsistent and repetitive. Since the author of this short, anguished novel first self-published it in 2006, it has assumed cult status, with no shortage of readers testifying to its powerful effect. One can never know to what extent this first-person account of a broken-hearted advertising creative who once “liked hurting girls” before the tables were turned on him is autobiographical, and there’s a strong argument for it not mattering. However, if one chooses to read it as an unfiltered account of real events, the strangely feverish splurge of the narrative makes more sense. A fiction would have more logic, more shape; the wrongs done to Mr Anonymous would be more substantial and his outrage more proportionate. As it is, the reader becomes trapped inside the mind of a howling paranoid. She was very attentive. That was it. She knew how to handle a guy. She made you feel like it was okay to be a guy. To be yourself. This, it seems to me, is the most devastating weapon of all in a woman's arsenal. If you can encourage the man to be himself, to give you his character, his ways, then you know how to navigate him, and therefore, he will never be able to hide from you.”

If you can encourage the man to be himself, to give you his character, his ways, then you know how to navigate him, and therefore, he will never be able to hide from you” they'd laughed in my face and walked away. As for looks? I'm nothing special, but I'm told I have beautiful eyes. Eyes from which nothing but truth could possibly seep. Working at the local processing plant, Marcos is in the business of slaughtering humans —though no one calls them that anymore. The first time I stumbled upon Oxygen Thief was in my middle school library. British schools and all, don't ask. Being the rebel that I was, I stole it because I was bored. A fitting way to obtain such a book, methinks. I actually still have the stolen copy. I'm currently alternating whether I want to burn it or frame it on a wall. I never looked like a drunk, I just was one, and anyway in those days advertising was a far more boozy affair than it is today. Because I was freelance, I could be my own man, so to speak, and I would keep myself busy by ensuring I had dates lined up. None of the girls were supposed to know this. The idea was to have an impressive queue so that when one girl neared maturity-usually after about three or four dates with some phone calls in between-another would be introduced. Then as one went onto the scrap heap, a new one would take her place. Nothing unusual about my method, everyone did it. But I enjoyed it so much. Not the sex or even the conquest, but the causing of pain.Say Holden Caulfield was an alcoholic advertising executive and Lolita was a photographer's assistant and somehow they met in Bright Lights Big City. He's blinded by love; she by ambition. Purporting to be an autobiography, this book is honest, hilarious and heartrending, but above all a very real account of what we do to each other and what we allow to have done to us. -- Here’s the thing: I don’t normally review or rate the books I dislike. I don’t like bashing them. Especially if the author is still alive. This one, however, is an exception. You may wonder why and I’d tell you because this book pissed me off. Like. Really. Pissed me off. I wanted to know the reason behind anyone being that way. I wanted to know why people would set out to hurt other people, why people would hurt the people they love. I'm not getting into the ending of the book, you'll have to see what happens yourself. I will tell you that though the book is short, it's a hell of a ride. Sometimes the relationship between two generations is very complicated. “My Father Is a Simple Man” by Luis Omar Salinas and “A secret Lost in the Water” by Roch Carrier explore these universal themes, the greatness of love together with the unavoidability of conflicts between two generations through the depiction of the speakers’ personal experience with their fathers.

It's mostly the knowledge that I've met at least a dozen of men like that in my short lifetime. I could never understand why they do what they do.I see now that I was in pain and wanted others to feel it, too. This was my way of communicating. I'd meet the women the first night and get the obligatory phone number and then after another couple of days, making them sweat a little, I'd call and be all nervous. They loved that. I'd ask them out and pretend I hardly ever did "this kind of thing" and say that I hadn't been out a lot in London because I didn't really know the scene. This was true, though, because all I used to do was get out of my head in local bars around Camberwell. urn:lcp:diaryofoxygenthi0000unse:epub:666804e4-8874-4a30-808e-75ade5877c49 Foldoutcount 0 Identifier diaryofoxygenthi0000unse Identifier-ark ark:/13960/t0nt3847k Invoice 1652 Isbn 9781501157851 Oh wait he already was but he actually liked it. Yes, the man started off his days by getting drunk, then calling random men homophobic slurs that start with the letter F. The goal was to cause a rise out of men and be beat up. Thankfully, or should I say, unfortunately, he almost died once while playing that game, so he moved on to the next. I don't know that I've ever disliked a character in a book as much as I despised this 'Anonymous'. That's saying something: "Why would anyone set out to break the heart of someone he loved? Why would anyone intentionally cause that kind of pain? Why did people kill each other? Because they enjoyed it. Was it really that simple? To achieve a soul-shattering, it is better if the perpetrator has been through the same experience. Hurt people hurt people more skillfully." pg 9 ebook. I didn't know if I was going to be able to finish this book, given how much I hated the beginning, but, just like the numerous women in his diary, I was drawn into the Oxygen Thief's lair and then (gasp) began to feel sorry for him.

This story circles around one of the most disgusting men I've encountered so far. And I'll be damned if I say I wasn't curious. Irina obsessively takes explicit photographs of the average-looking men she persuades to model for her, scouted from the streets of Newcastle. Italie, Hillel (23 May 2016). Diary of an Oxygen Thief (The Oxygen Thief Diaries, #1) by Anonymous – eBook Details I’ve never thought much of a girl who swallows. Don’t get me wrong it feels fantastic and I’m aglow with gratitude at the time but only a slut would ever actually do something like that. Why would anyone set out to break the heart of someone he loved? Why would anyone intentionally cause that kind of pain? Why did people kill each other? Because they enjoyed it.”
