Description

Yuuka does Judo and is also The Ace of her school's Judo club contrasting Yuu's Non-Action Guy status in the games. How she is brought to Twisted Wonderland is also shown. The Main Characters Do Everything: Somehow ends up helping to solve the problems of each respective dorm in the main story with the help of the featured characters, to the point where the other students have apparently taken note of it, according to Jamil. He’ll also sometimes contribute to the problems at times due to his ego. Ser del fandom pero de habla hispana y que el juego no este en disponible en tu zona continental duele y cuesta🥲 After he is transferred to Night Raven College, he wears the standard school blazer over his shirt along with the school trousers. The kanji on his shirt, “満福軒” ( Manpuku-Ken), was the name of his father’s restaurant. Series Goal: Yuu's ultimate goal is to return their original world after being suddenly transported to Twisted Wonderland. All while having to navigate through the personal issues of many NRC upperclassmen coming to a literal boil.

The first chapter covers "A Stranger's Awakening", "Break the Solemnity!" and the first half of "Cruel Answer!"Promoted to Playable: Grim was originally a Story Mode-exclusive guest character, but he's finally an obtainable character in commemoration of the 1st year anniversary of Twisted Wonderland. Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: In Chapter 7, Malleus asked them if they had the option to stay while still being able to see their loved ones instead of leaving, would Yuu take that option. Yuu says that they would and that people who don't feel lonely over separations don't exist. This ultimately convinced and gave Malleus the push for his plan and shape him to be the Arc Villain of the chapter. This volume covers the prologue which is my least favorite part of the story. It’s fun enough I guess. I enjoyed it when I was playing through the game but whenever it gets adapted I just think “let’s get this over with so we can get to the interesting bit”. One of the Boys: By virtue of being the only female student in her school, although it's not yet touched upon as to whether the other characters are even aware that she's female. As with Yuu from the game and other continuities, Yuuka's core friend group consists of Ace, Deuce, and Grim, all three of whom are male. Everything I know about Twisted Wonderland is through friends who have played the mobile game that spawned this adaptation, so I can't give a fair comparison to said game, but I can say this is about what I expected when I learned there was going to be a Twisted Wonderland manga. From what I can tell, it's also a pretty close adaption.

Cozy Glow now stands at perilous crossroads. Will she embrace her role as the story's master manipulator, or could she emerge as its most unlikely savior? Either way, one thing's for sure: Twisted Wonderland will never be the same again. Language: English Words: 23,994 Chapters: 8/? Comments: 26 Kudos: 75 Bookmarks: 18 Hits: 1,042

Last-Name Basis: Downplayed. Yuuken's kendo club members refer to him by his last name. When Yuuken told Crowley his full name, he calls him by his first name. However, Crowley has no idea about Japan or their culture, it's possible Crowley thought "Yuuken" is his last name and his family name "Enma" is his first name. Informed Ability: According to Silver in one of his home screen dialogues, Yuu is skilled with a sword. The player never sees this and it has yet to come into play in the story proper. Averted in the Manga adaptation in which Yuuken is depicted as an active participant in Kendo activities to the point of being the captain of his team. Player Character: Despite being a character that's supposed to represent you, the player, it's made clear that Yuu has a personality and characterization of their own beyond what can be chosen for them very early on in the story. Pineda, Rafael Antonio (February 19, 2021). "Disney: Twisted-Wonderland Game's Main Story Gets 1st Manga Series". Anime News Network . Retrieved February 19, 2021. She's also female, albeit a Bifauxnen, whereas the original Yuu's gender is never directly alluded to.

Yuken "Yu" Enma is the kind, big brother-type leader of his high school's kendo club (that was struggling before he brought it to life) and is waiting for the bus when by all appearances gets run over by a horse-drawn carriage, whisking him away into the world of Twisted Wonderland--much to his chagrin because they have a tournament coming up. This world is basically the amalgamation of Disney movies (specifically Alice in Wonderland, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White) and in it exists an "arcane academy" called Night Raven College, dedicated to training mages. This academy has dorms crested by each main villain of the aforementioned Disney stories and those villains are considered the academy's great forebears. Basically, if you didn't know beforehand about anything related to the IP, Twisted Wonderland is straight-up a celebration of Disney villains. It’s a story about a bunch of flawed people slowly getting better. That sounds so dumb when you look at the content of the game, because so many dumb things happen. Most of the story is hijinks and comedy, but when it gets serious, it gets serious. Never for too long, though, so the game can keep that ✨E for Everyone✨ rating on the App Store. a b c "Twisted Wonderland Gameplay System". 【公式】ディズニー ツイステッドワンダーランド(ツイステ) (in Japanese). Aniplex . Enma Yuuken

Demoted to Extra: They’re only the primary point-of-view character in the main story. Due to the Ensemble Cast nature of the events, they can potentially be absent or appear less frequently in certain event story chapters as the perspective shifts to another character (or characters) that the story is focusing on. They also rarely show up in the personal stories of the other characters, as those tend to focus on the interactions between the other Night Raven College students. The only personal stories to avert this trope are the first sets of the Birthday personal stories, where the respective birthday boy is being interviewed by Yuu. Moreover, as if navigating a new world wasn't challenging enough, Cozy Glow soon discovers that her past isn't as distant as she'd like to believe. Ghosts from Equestria begin to infiltrate her new reality, each one capable of derailing her grand ambitions. In October 2021, an anime adaptation was announced. [29] Disney+ licensed the anime at that time. [30] Reception [ edit ] Audience Surrogate: Is just as unaware about how the world of Twisted Wonderland works as Yuu is, despite being a magic user and knowing about Night Raven College.

I was in it for the Disney references... but I was pretty lost from the beginning. This looks to be quite the lengthy saga beginning, and there's absolutely no resolution to anything in this book. It sets up a LOT, but nothing is explained at all. I've read manga before, and the art is comparatively on point, but there's a lot of action shots for a story that doesn't seem to make sense or have much going on. There are a few times when it feels like there are missing panels.

Father Rook captured vampire Vil and he built his twisted found family with Vil and Epel. Drastic measures were needed to declaw them but he did not want to declaw them too much. There was so much beauty in night creatures after all, let alone the most beautiful night creature he had ever seen. Adapted Out: Yuu is absent from the official anthologies and is never alluded to by any of the characters, giving the impression that they don’t exist within the universe these stories take place in. They also don’t appear in the official manga and novel adaptations of the game's story, though similar characters with "Yuu" in their names were created to fill their place. Glowing Eyes of Doom: Starts sporting these when he eats the stone left from Vil's overblot and growing manic. Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Comic Episode of Heartslabyul 3. Square Enix . Retrieved March 25, 2023. Those Two Guys: Paired with Grim in and out of the main story. Even when an event story shifts the perspective onto another character, they’re always with Grim doing something off-screen.
