We have one of the widest range of trees in the UK, and for those plants which we cannot despatch next day we will normally despatch within 4 weeks. The despatch time for different products will be confirmed when products are added to your shopping basket It is such a good tree the RHS gave it their Award Of Garden Merit. For those not in the know, this is alleged to come from a super-secret meeting in a shed on an allotment somewhere. Flat cap and welly wearing experts are invited to a posh wooden structure on the understanding there will be limitless tea and biscuits provided while they argue which is the best of all ornamental plum trees. If there is an agreement or a majority then the award is given until something better comes along. If there is no agreement and the shed is split (not literally) then there is a lot of grumblings, welly shuffling and whispered threats of a coup. This always fades to nothing as the RHS is the centre of civility and the matter is put on hold until the next meeting. By this time half of the experts will have been replaced due to age-related issues and a consensus will be reached.

These graceful trees are easy to grow. Shidare-yoshino is an outstanding example; it has a compact weeping habit and handsome leaves that take on a warm hue at the end of the year. The spring blossom, with its subtle almond fragrance, is white and borne in clusters. Features Once planted, keep the area free of competing weeds and grass for the first couple of growing seasons. If your area is prone to rabbits, use a rabbit guard. Pruning Advice for Prunus × blireana The liability of Benara to the Customer for a breach of a condition or warranty implied by law and which cannot be excluded, is limited, to the extent possible, at Benara's option, to: (a) the supply of the goods or services again; orblireiana: of Blere, France. This is the spelling used by the Revue Horticole (1905) when the plant was introduced, however, blireana is the spelling used by the Royal Hort. Soc.(Huxely, 1992), Krüssmann (1976), and Dir (2009). Area bounded by Williamstown, Footscray, Tullamarine Fwy to Bell St Coburg, Preston, Northcote, Richmond, South Yarra & Middle Park. Amanogawa is a particularly fine specimen; it has an upright, columnar habit and dark green leaves that take on a vivid orange hue at the end of the year. Blossoming in flushes from November until March, the autumn-flowering cherry is a must for any garden. It is a highly adaptable, spreading tree with attractive, delicate-looking blossoms and an open, manageable habit. The white semi-double flowers turn pink as they age. The spring foliage is a handsome bronze-green, which matures to a rich mix of orange and yellow by autumn. Features Prunus blireana, also known as the Double Flowering Plum, is a stunning ornamental renowned for its light claret red that turn a bronze/purple colour as the leaves mature. The striking foliage grows along dark branches through summer, blooming masses of double pink flowers in spring. Blireana is great for adding excellent colour variation to any garden or landscape. Expect this ornamental plum tree to increase the amount of wildlife traffic in your garden. By that, we mean birds, bees etc because as far as we know lions, tigers and the like are not drawn to ornamental plum trees. Unfortunately, you will have to go to the zoo to see those animals and not do it on the cheap by planting this tree. We have not researched this so should any Wilderbeast eating carnivore visit your garden and start sniffing the flowers, then we accept no responsibility. This attractive compact Purple-Leaved Plum is an excellent choice for a smaller garden, and it makes a spectacular sight in early spring, when it is covered in a mass of cerise buds that open into fabulous pale pink blossoms. The foliage is dark red when it emerges, and the colour deepens as summer progresses. Very occasionally, this variety will produce small fruits. Often used for screening, this is a particularly easy tree to grow and maintain. Features
