Description

The three onboard effects units are inspired by those on KORG’s minilogue xd, which itself took onboard effects to a whole new level. Numerous reverbs, modulation effects, and delays are available to blend and edit at will, to really finish out your sound creations. The NTS‑1 has a single monophonic digital oscillator, a multi-mode digital filter, a multi-mode envelope, three LFOs, three stereo effect processors, a multi-mode arpeggiator and a teeny tiny keyboard.

Synth beginners and seasoned musicians alike will find the journey not just educational, but also inspirational and full of new discoveries. Created by legendary product visionary: Fumio Mieda, the Nu:Tekt HD-S is a build-it-yourself pedal that combines three different distortion circuits to deliver never-before heard harmonic distortion. With a single monophonic digital oscillator, one multimode filter, on EG, three LFOs, three stereo effect processors, and full arpeggiator, the NTS-1 is a very powerful, flexible, fun-to-explore synth. The strength of this mini synth is that you can add to its onboard algorithms. There are slots for 16 additional oscillators and modulation effects, plus eight delays and reverbs. This makes it an incredibly versatile machine for synth-lovers and anyone who has a particular penchant for unusual external effects. Building tension Once you start loading third-party algorithms with the Librarian tool, the NTS-1 gets exponentially more enjoyable. Among our favourite oscillator algorithms are the JP-BOOO supersaw from Eduardo Digital, and Groove from Sinevibes, which turns the NTS-1 into a seven-zone groovebox with synth and drums. Not all algorithms are made equal, though. Some are free, others are donationware, and many more are premium. Some aren’t even designed for the NTS-1 but for the Minilogue XD and Prologue. As the Librarian software warns when you load a new algorithm in, use them at your own risk. Another returning design element is Korg’s patent-pending Nutube technology – found in the TR-S Power Tube Reactor only – which promises to give guitarists the "feel of a tube amp even when recording or playing through a transistor amp". Assemble the HD-S with ease, just like a model kit - no soldering required. All necessary tools are included, along with a circuit diagram in the owner’s manual. Perfect for those who love building their own effect units with top-notch performance and sound. The brainchild of Funio Mieda

Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided. Out-of-the-box the oscillator can generate virtual analogue Sawtooth, Triangle and Square waves and VPM waveforms. Variable Phase Modulation (VPM) is Korg's take on FM synthesis found originally in the Prophecy and Z1. In the Prologue the VPM oscillator has 16 types whereas here we appear to have the one carrier/modulator algorithm. It starts with a really throaty sound and then clangs its way to crisper tones as you dial in the overtones. And then there's the last oscillator type which is the Custom/User Multi-Engine Oscillator/Effect engine widget, which we'll come to later. You should get an instant answer on whether your application has been successful, though in some rare cases Klarna or V12 may need to look at the application in more detail. Meet a build-it-yourself pedal that delivers the warmth and response of a tube amp. The Nu:Tekt TR-S uses a Nutube to deliver previously unachievable compression thanks to an exclusive patent-pending technology — meaning that you get the feel of a tube amp even when recording or playing through a transistor amp.

The basic design layout is also loosely the same – each pedal features four control knobs, a bypass footswitch and LED light – though this time out Korg has equipped each unit with a small screen and three additional internal parameters. A wide selection of filters (Low pass 2/4-pole, High pass 2/4-pole, Band pass 2/4-pole and OPEN mode, all with resonance) give you serious control over the overall tone of the oscillator.Using the button and the three knobs it's possible to access a number of parameters and modes, some of which are obvious and others that are somewhat hidden away. The buttons let you select either Oscillator, Filter, Envelope, Modulation effect, Delay or Reverb for editing. The left-hand knob always selects the 'Type' of whatever button you've selected, so oscillator type, filter type, etc, and the other two knobs change the parameters. Holding the button reveals some modulation possibilities for that part of the synth. The NTS‑1 comes with Waves; a morphing wavetable oscillator made up of two wavetables of 46 waves. Select wave A and B and you can morph between the two. The controls are accessed via a special edit menu that you get to by holding the Osc button and moving the Type knob. You can then release the button and its LED flashes to show that you're in Edit mode. The Type knob now selects various parts of the oscillator and knobs A and B alter the parameters — the equivalent of 'Shape' and 'Shift+Shape' on the bigger synthesizers. With Waves you have a Sub you can mix in, or you can use it as a Ring Modulation source, and then there's a Bit Crusher. Knob A remains steadfastly the Shape control which in this case morphs between the waveforms and can be modulated from the oscillator LFO. The HD-S reimagines the distortion pedal, with modulation and filter-like control over your sound. In addition to four control knobs on the panel, you can use three additional trimmer knobs to adjust the balance between each of the distortion circuits for sonic results as tame or as wild as you can imagine. Easy assembly Created by legendary product visionary Fumio Mieda, the Nu:Tekt HD-S is a build-it-yourself pedal that combines three different distortion circuits to deliver never-before heard harmonic distortion. Create new and as-yet undiscovered sounds — from traditional fuzz, to out-of-this world distorted sounds — by mixing the different distortion circuits. A wide range of sonic possibilities means you can use HD-S with guitars, bass guitars, synths, and more. Anywhere you're looking for new and unique sounds! In his own words: "As of 2023, 61 years have passed since the first compact effects unit, the Maestro Fuzz-Tone, was released. Even nowadays, distortion-based effects including overdrive and distortion are the mainstay for guitar effects units, and the vast majority of these effects units are simply rehashing the sounds of the past. For this reason, we've developed a new kind of distortion based on harmonic synthesis that covers both traditional and all-new sounds." Specifications

The contents of book sold by BJOOKS and the book that will be included in KORG’S Bundle are exactly the same however the book cover is slightly different cosmetically (the one included in the bundle has a metallic finish). The TR-S features an exclusive patent-pending circuit design, for compression that mimics the sag of a vacuum tube power amp - only possible with Nutube. Achieve this sought-after sound in any setting, even when playing through a transistor amp or recording into a DAW. The TR-S features four knobs on the panel, as well as three trimmer knobs hidden inside the top cover, allowing for even greater control over your sound. Go beyond the guitar and experience what the TR-S can do when you connect other instruments as well! Easy assembly Its versatile oscillator can produce both traditional analog-style waveforms (Sawtooth, Triangle, Square) and VPM waves, this means that it’s compatible with custom oscillators that were created for the Minilogue XD/ XD Module and Prologue. This oscillator’s voice can then be shaped by: Assemble the HD-S with ease, just like a model kit — no soldering required. All necessary tools are included, along with a circuit diagram in the owner's manual. It's perfect for those who love building their own effect units with top-notch performance and sound. The Brainchild of Fumio Mieda Moving onto the effects section we have Modulation, Delay and Reverb to play with. All three start off bypassed. The Modulation section has Chorus, Ensemble, Phaser and Flanger with time and depth controls. There's no frequency control over the time, you just dial between smooth and wobbly, and there's no extra parameter available while holding the button. The Ensemble effect is particularly gooey, but they all sound excellent. It might be a build-your-own pedal, but that doesn't mean it's difficult! Korg give you the customisation of a DIY pedal together with the convenience of a pre-built device thanks to their streamlined build process. It doesn't require any soldering and includes all the tools you'll need to build your effect. In fact, it's the fastest and easiest pedal to assemble in the Nu:Tekt series! Authentic tube tones
