Characters:-2/10 You have your rich male lead prince charming ready and willing to sacrifice physically, mentally and emotionally , your generic dense poor female lead and a third wheel who suddenly falls for our female protagonist because we need two godly handsome shoujo characters competing with each other. He does genuinely want to beat her, but he also wants to capture her heart. Kujou is... bland, blank, boring. BUT the manga does a great job of showing her slowly coming out of her shell, making new friends, experiencing the world outside of just studying and going home, and of course, dealing with falling in love for the first time. Then, a girl named Kujou enters the Guess I'll go ahead and write my first review here? Alright, so it's not that it's bad, it's just immensely forseeable and having such a predictable storyline is what somehow made it popular so I don't know what to say about that. It's likely that it was meant to be this way but I'd say they really tried to make it seem different but I've read and seen a lot of the same genre to know how this was going to go. The thing about this story was that I expected a lot from it on first read. It had the potential to twist the "helpless" maiden and dumb ignorant girl storyline in a more mature and more relatable way where the female protagonists has had a clue of what was going on instead of her not knowing COMPLETELY what was going on. I haven't really finished it but I have a feeling there's going to be another unnecessary love triangle near the end (besides the one that's already been established and destroyed) to prolong the plot and slow build of their relationship. It's not bad, like I said it's just THAT mediocre. If you're into that then go ahead, this story is definitely for you and if you're not then I think you should look for something else.Mateo, Alex (October 12, 2022). Idolized for his athletic and intellectual competence, looks and wealth, Naoto lived like a king during his elementary school days—then entered Mikoto Kujou, a plain, gloomy-looking transfer student. Romance: 6 - You've got to be kidding here. I like romance mangas where they realize eachother feeling earlier and do progression from there but here it's just woman realizing from chapter to chapter that there is something more going on than just "friends thing". a b 【10月5日付】本日発売の単行本リスト. There are two love triangles that kind of morph into a love square, but I didn't find them obnoxious, and I think both of them helped further the plot along and didn't just serve to keep the two leads from each other. Story: 8 - Story progression is good. If you are looking for a romance with a story of ordinary slice of life this is a manga for you. Good slice of life. story and told him that he shouldn't brag about something he didn't achieve on his own. Having failed to defeat Mikoto throughout middle and high school, Naoto decides they will have one last game: if he can make Mikoto fall in love with him and then break her heart, it will be his victory. Kujou also has an issue with change; she wants things to stay as they are forever, which leads to a slow-burn plot that's actually well done. One of the major critiques I've seen of this manga is that it's slow, but I think that's better than the "oh I like this person and we're together now" plot. A slow-burn MAKES SENSE here. Especially considering that Mikoto is going through emotions, she's never had the chance to experience before. It's very in character for her to take it slow and fully absorb what she's feeling. Enjoyment: 6 - I read whole manga and was left completely unsatisfied. I had to go to another manga right after because this one gave me a feeling of incompleteness.
