I've not heard of this author but I do have a couple of friends who would love this kind of book (it's not really my genre) so I'll be sending them the link to your post! You could dismiss this as a nightmare, but the next pair of children to live in the house see the same film - oh, and so does the woman who lives next door but one.

As I felt some of the newer books the stories became very long winded, for example they included what people thought when entering a room etc.

As I said though, I have not really read them and do not know Mr Slemen, though from what I have heard his books are enjoyable. Best story has to be the one illustrated on the cover - two kids in Norris Green wander downstairs in the middle of the night for a drink, only to find the unplugged tv showing a black and white horror film involving two clowns.

I found Tom Slemen online in the Liverpool region of BBC news, every Tuesday one of his stories was written.

The tremendous response from listeners is confirmation of a widespread fascination with the paranormal. I’ve enjoyed Tom Slemen’s Haunted Liverpool books which feature all manner of paranormal tales from an early age. This is a used book - there is no escaping the fact it has been read by someone else and it will show signs of wear and previous use.
