This is very well done, but I'm not surprised because Lalique owns this brand and Lalique makes excellent juice! If you don't like it at first sniff, empty the bottle a little, then leave it (without the cap) for a month somewhere in the room where is not too hot, too cold, dark and without humidity.Like the Blackline series, this perfume is all about cutting-edge gravitas, lending the wearer a scent that is both purposeful and enigmatic. Darker still, the drydown weaves cool incense, tobacco-scented tonka bean and leather-tinged Atlas cedarwood on a base of musk and crisp, dry wood.

Longevity and sillage are pretty respectable, but go easy on the sprays, this can be headache inducing if you spray too much.The initial impression (mostly due to the violet, I imagine) is one of a clean-laundry airiness, with perhaps a less obvious dewy aspect. It's violet and powdery and a little sweet and floral but there is an earthiness to it that personally stops me loving it. The diamond-shaped body of the flacon, in heavy black glass, is discretely textured by silver-white stripes. Bentley has a long history of building luxurious cars with dedication to design, engineering, crafting and perfection. Smells great and I would recommend it to you if you want to add a relatively cheap, versatile fragrance to your collection.

With a peppery opening but not very heavy, due to the Violet n then the fruity with the sweetness stays in the mid and then very tiny little sweetness left with the stable Violet and pepper all the way to the dry down. Its opaque finish enhances the polished silver metal shoulders of the bottle, embossed with the celebrated Winged-B.

This is one of the few fragrances from my "Violet" period that has survived all of the changes in my fragrance preferences through the years. Then, when the violet kicks in more, it's a mix of (again) Gentleman only with a touch od Fahrenheit.Bentley is a relatively new perfume brand, inspired by the beauty and luxury of the legendary Bentley cars. The sweet tangerine might aim a bit more toward spring and summer time, but to me it is not dominant enough to exclude this from a winter wear. I remember having to respray XS with 5-6 sprays every 2-3 hours back in 1996 and this is already doubling the time it lasted back then with way less sprays. It reminds me of YSL Homme Libre in the beginning with a burst of violet and an earthy undertone that lasts for a decent amount of time actually before switching to Givenchy Gentleman Only with a pinch of Bleu de Chanel.
