Carry On Nurse was alluded to twice in Carry On Doctor, firstly with the sub-titles (one reading Nurse Carries On Again and Death of a Daffodil), and again in a later scene with Frankie Howerd commenting on a vase of daffodils in his hospital room. The film critic Dilys Powell thought that Nurse was "a welcome breath of good, vulgar, music hall fun, no connected plot to speak of and, in its series of comic or farcical incidents, some excellent playing". If Indicator can release the Stanley Long box set (which I understand is in a similar vein to Carry On), then I was hoping for these to be released. Baker told the Daily Star Sunday that "we have got two new stories and we are looking to do one of the old ones again to bring it up to modern day quality – probably Carry On Sergeant ".

Carry on Christmas (or Carry On Stuffing) (1972), a collection of historical sketches, loosely linked around an 18th-century banquet.

Carry On Henry' (1971), 'Carry On at Your Convenience' (1971), 'Carry On Matron' (1972), 'Carry On Abroad' (1972), 'Carry On Girls' (1973), 'Carry On Dick' (1974), 'Carry On Behind' (1975), 'Carry On England' (1976), 'That's Carry On! Those are owned by ITV, as are all of the series from Don't Lose Your Head to Emmanuelle and That's Carry On. Joan Sims was originally asked to play the part of "Matron" after her earlier success playing a similar part in Doctor in Clover, but the part eventually went to Hattie Jacques.

The characters and comedy style of the Carry On film series were adapted to a television series titled Carry On Laughing, and several Christmas specials. Carry On Doctor was the first medical theme–based Carry On film for eight years, and was the first of two Carry On films to star the comedian Frankie Howerd. During the production of the series, the rights passed between a couple of companies ( Carry On Emmanuelle was made by Hemdale! The film also featured a cameo by the series 's composer Eric Rogers as the band leader in the saloon bar.Carry On favourite Barbara Windsor makes her debut in this outrageous send-up of the James Bond movies. The Carry On gang strikes again – this time in the bold, brave days of the Armada, a time when countries were judged by their strength at sea, and men by their naval heroism! This could be because the DVD's and VHS tapes included within the collection were all released by Carlton International Media Limited with Columbus being under a different label. The production was abandoned when finance fell through, and a complete script written by Vince Powell is included in the book Fifty Years of Carry On. Carry On Henry's pre-production title was "Anne of a Thousand Lays" – and was as the title suggested; a parody of the Richard Burton film Anne of the Thousand Days (1969).

amusing, extended bit of business lifted right out of Abbott and Costello's seminal "Who's On First? To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.Gerald Thomas managed to secure royal permission to film in the grounds of Windsor Castle – a first for any British film. Rogers and Thomas were responsible for all 31 films, usually on time and to a strict budget, and often employed the same crew — some of whom were also regulars on the James Bond series, such as Peter Lamont, Alan Hume, and Anthony Waye. A new generation of comedy actors were cast, including Rik Mayall, Keith Allen, Alexei Sayle and Julian Clary. But until ITV and SC do HD masters of all their titles, I don't see any label paying for that many new masters on titles that are constantly on UK TV and are pretty much regarded as budget titles by the majority of the market.
