So if your dog pulls on his Halti, step to one side and turn him sideways, even in a complete circle. For an extra helping hand we recommend using the Halti Training Lead with your Halti Headcollar or Harness so that you have more control when walking your dog. The harness is made from strong and durable nylon and has neoprene padding at the shoulders for extra comfort. Mostly, it gave me peace of mind and a little confidence that I probably had a little more control to combat their strength if/when needed, the reality might have been different.

Halti are designed to work on even the largest breed dogs and are made from lightweight yet very strong nylon webbing, this means they’re comfortable to hold and comfortable on your dog. The Halti Double Ended Lead is versatile for longer walks with 7 different functions including 3 different lead lengths and quick tie up function. Unlike other designs of anti-pull harnesses, the HALTI does not put painful pressure on the body and is always comfortable. The leash attachment at the chest prevents pressure over your dog's throat and neck, which is especially important for small breeds that can be susceptible to tracheal damage. Designed by Dr Roger Mugford, the HALTI Harness has a unique patented front attachment system that controls the dog from his chest and shoulders - an effective point of control.Too long for me and most definitely too long for what I'd consider a short/road length as the instructions say it's suitable for and by having to turn the lead four or five times around my hand, it made it quite slippery. There is no significant differences in the amount of pulling that a dog does with a headcollar or a harness, it is all down to what works for your dog best. Come’ training is linked to your dog learning his name to gain his attention and the command “come”. There is nothing new about leading animals by the head: the Incas had headcollars for their llamas 1000 years ago; in Ancient Egypt they were used for leading camels and riders have guided their horses by the head for over 4000 years. The Halti Harness is a new concept to the world of dogs where you take control with little effort or need for skill.

When your dog pulls on the leash, he will be guided back towards you, naturally and gently discouraging him from pulling. Finally, it is hard, but essential that you do not scold or punish your dog when you finally do recapture him. If you want to make your dog's harness even more unique, you can also add your own logo to the harness, such as custom patches with your own design and color.

STOPS PULLING: a simple no pull solution for most dogs, with both a no pull lifting action and front control steering. No product is a magic bullet, but the HALTI harness prevents dogs from pulling better than a standard lead and collar because that is precisely what the product has been designed to do. If you own a dog that is a problem puller, then the HALTI harness will definitely help you teach your dog to walk more calmly by your side. The versatile Halti Harness has a padded girth strap, collar attachment for security and additional leash attachment point on back. There are two hoops to clip your lead into - the first in the padded chest area and the second on top, which falls around the middle of your dog's back.

There is nothing more exhausting and annoying than being pulled along by your dog because he is headstrong and unruly. This is an old horse-trainer’s trick when the reluctant nag is more docile and catchable when wearing its halter. The Halti has been acclaimed worldwide as the most effective design of headcollar, which naturally follows the contours of a dog’s face. Usually that is sufficient for him to drop his bottom, but for a few defiant dogs you may have to push their head gently backwards, so the hind limbs go down. One of the easiest ways to do this is to reward your dog with their favourite treats whilst wearing the headcollar on longer walks each time so that they begin to positively associate the collar with food.
