This bottle has an agave worm in the main bottle and included is a minature bottle with lots of agave worms in it so if sharing shots everyone could have a worm. Each tequila has its own "flavor fingerprint," and each person has his or her own flavor preferences.Notes of cola, maple, cinnamon, Old Spice deodorant, tar, turpentine, lighter fluid, and nail polish remover. On the bright side, I enjoyed it enough that I'll definitely be trying more mezcal, probably looking at the "Illegal reposado" mezcal next as a step up.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. It shows very little burn and has a dry persistent finish offering great complexity, with an earthy array of flavours. It’s a novelty item at best, in a tacky bottle with etched Mexican symbols, a screw ca, and a worm floating in colored, turpentine-flavored alcohol.The worm which is added to every bottle lives in the agave plants which is then distilled to make the mezcal. I say this because some other reviewers have complained that not receiving the worm bottle spoiled their experience. They included a note, talking through the history of mezcal (which is always good to know), had the worm (yes, we ate it, and no, it didn't taste of anything, except mezcal) and the signature smoky flavour- POIFECT! An aromatic and fruity tequila, Altos Plata is sweet in the mouth, with citric notes of lime and lemon and cooked agave.
