This is a book I'm going to reach for time and time again when the world feels like too much and I need to be wrapped in a cozy hug by these pages. It’s nice to come back to the world without a standalone being turned into a series just for the purpose of selling more copies or just plain fan service.

I'm a huge fan of stories that bring you closer to beloved characters; Mysteries expands so much on the characters' emotions and arcs that you come away adoring them even more. Nosy reporters are still trying to find out all the juicy gossip, and everyone is constantly being locked in the house without an absolute solution to keeping the doors open.Regardless, this one had all the feels, all the swoons, and was essentially like being wrapped in a warm hug with a cup of your favorite warm beverage by a roaring fire.

i think readers who are nostalgic for all the feelings ‘a sorcery of thorns’ gave and were wanting an extended epilogue will really enjoy this short story! And Nathaniel… I laughed so hard and so often throughout this short little book, because his wit absolutely shines here. i loved how it’s more of a character focused novella and i was so happy to be back in this world with Elisabeth, Nathaniel and Silas. Much like Sorcery of Thorns reminded me of the power books wield, Mysteries of Thorn Manor reminded me of the love they carry, too.Without taking her eyes from the door, Elisabeth reached down, took him by the arm, and lifted him to his feet.
