Sweet, powdery projection is big for about the first 20 minutes and then it settles to a delightful skin scent. There are perfumes that remind me of other, for instance, La vie EST belle is quite similar to la nuit tresor , they have differences don't get me wrong but the drydown of them is very very very similar. I would say it’s totally appropriate for work and formal occasions, but don’t overspray, I found it made me a little nauseous when I did so, but I am a bit sensitive to too much ambergris. I don’t understand the reviews describing this scent as ‘sweet’ or smelling like soda, I get none of that, a sweet fresh scent to me is La Imperatice or Bright Crystal (for eg), this one is more like grapefruit slices sprinkled with a little sugar, just to neutralize the sour-bitter juiciness (how I eat my grapefruit).

The citruses come out with an edge, like if it had a slight herbal hint of something like basil or mint. There's a very specific concept behind this fragrance as it was formulated to smell dated, kind of synthetic, soapy and strong, like many vintage perfumes do. I only detect water lily(thus,this watery vibe), yuzu(that's where the juicyness comes) and of course musk.For anyone who loves summery fragrances, but might be thrown off a bit by the funky packaging, this one deserves your consideration. As well as that, it also started to remind me of another perfume but I couldn't remember at first what it was, but it also smells a bit generic anyway so it's not dissimilar probably to quite a few scents. One of my go-to perfumes for blustery late fall days when freezing rain is piddling out of the sky and I need to cheer up. It was the perfume of my years as a teen and it's responsible for the way I use perfume: spraying it heavily.

But, with this reminder, I ran out and bought myself a bottle right away and I've held onto it ever since. Apart from the name, of course, which is a little insulting as people mentioned before, this is actually a nice and sophisticated fragrance.It does smooth out after about half an hour to be sweeter and more fruity, but half an hour after that, it's gone. I can imagine it smells incredible in a humid environment…but I live in Scotland so no chance of that here. Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer.

This still has a slight synthetic edge somewhere in the base or citrus notes (can't tell for sure), but it's significantly more bearable than Light Blue, especially if you're in close proximity to others. This is absolutely beautiful every day perfume 😍It's unique and long lasting it doesn't smell old at all, the opening is quite zesty and then transforms into this lovely floral- ambery scent. These emphasise the masculinity and can be combined well with other scents of pepper, cinnamon or nutmeg. I wasn’t sure about this one first but went out walking with my aunt on an autumn day and she was wearing it and it smelled incredible so I gave it another go.
