The tale quickly escalates into a fight for the young protagonist Nick’s life, with him being kidnapped, shot at and given a pair of cement shoes. Although he's around the age of 13-14, and can think on the spot well, I'd have to go for the mastermind behind getting the box of Maltesers, the Fat Man. After cutting my teeth on the hugely popular show, Robin of Sherwood, I moved on to work with David Suchet and his brilliant portrayal of Hercule Poirot, writing about nine or ten episodes of Agatha Christie's Poirot.A series of murders and encounters with some of the worst villains in England results in finding probably the biggest fortune ever known to man. But then the host is found dead, and other people start dying in bizarre ways with no way off the island. Anthony Horowitz: The more adventures Alex Rider had, the more I found myself compelled to take this darker edge", The Guardian, 16 March 2015.

The first chapter introduces Nicholas 'Nick' Simple and his older brother, Herbert Simple, who goes by the pseudonym 'Tim Diamond'. Following the main plot events, Nick and Tim finally managed to earn enough money to be able to fly out to Australia to visit at their parents for the first time since they had emigrated there, which was sometime prior to the events of The Falcon's Malteser. The Fat Man, Herbert says, is the biggest criminal in England, involved in almost any crime there is – armed robbery, arson, theft and armed burglary are some of the things Herbert lists. A LITTLE 13 YEAR OLD BOY NAME NICK FOUND OUT ABOUT THE MALTESERS AND HELP The POLICE WHAT THEY WANTED.Nick manages to step onto the back of the van, but as the van hits 60m/h (96 km/h), he is thrown off and into a wall of cardboard boxes, perhaps he could have held on but he was half drunk. I was left holding a diamond the diamond size of a peanut" My favorite part of this book is when the police come to rescue Nick.

Could not believe my own eyes while reading this book, I really liked how they completely changed up the situation and made it a lot more interesting! He says his doctor told him to lose weight, so over the past year he has eaten yoghurt and lost 135 kg. Falcon’s Malteser is ideal for family groups, children from 8 upwards especially boys, if you enjoy children’s theatre with style, an intelligent script and excellent acting. The author builds bad tension in the book when a bomb is thrown into Nick Diamonds room and he almost dies, "The grenade hit the bed and bounced back toward the window. In the midst of finding some scientific words scrawled in rough English on some scraps of paper, a grenade is hurled into the room and the hotel is destroyed. However, just moments after the brothers feel they are getting somewhere, Bacardi is snatched by two shady figures in a blue van.

Not only does it provide you with questions that are only answered later on, but the comedy written in the book also entertains a lot, despite being small jokes, or just Tim's idiocy.

Nick gives him the fake packet and follows the Professor halfway down the road, but then is intercepted and kidnapped by Gott and Himmell, the most dangerous criminals in pursuit of the Maltesers.
