When it's in drydown mode it seems to get a woody musty sort of smell which reminds me slightly of soil after it rains. Longevity in perfumes refers to the duration of time that a fragrance remains detectable on the skin or in the air after it is applied.

Scent is beautiful, smells like vacation, like eating a fruits near the hotel’s swimming pool that is surrounded by garden with blooming trees. The scent is also one of the most versatile scents I know and is suitable for year round use, day or night, casual or be-suited, office or sports use, and can be used by any age. It smells exactly like your hands after you wash them with that classic soap but with a hint of sophistication and depth to it. I don't smell any fruit here, was overall surprised to see the notes, would've expected something aquatic. The most distinguished notes are aquatic notes, watermelon, black currant, iris, less powerful magnolia, tobacco, mint, bergamont and carnation.Beginning is a boost of energy watermelon, bergamot and wild berries, in the heart softens with flowers, sage and mint, which is opposed to these, the bottom is shady and dense with cardamom, tobacco and lily. I am struggling with most of my collection, so I stuck it in the fridge, gave it a spray and it works like a charm. From the top notes you know this fragrance is designed in France: it has a certain "je ne sais quoi" that I like very much. It is important to note that the longevity factor alone should not be the sole determinant in choosing a perfume. The colour of the perfume looks even more synthetic in real life and reminds me of glass cleaning products.

According to what I could find on-line, Ocean Cup is composed of pear, lychee, watermelon, mint leaf, Marine Aquatic Accord, Bechipa, Pachuri, and Sedauddo. I only realised that today after I sprayed it generously (after god knows how long since I wore it last) and when I got home I realised why it was so familiar after getting a moistened towel - weird co incidence. This review is actually for Insense Ultramarine Ocean Cup - Limited Edition; however as Fragrantica doesn't list it I have placed my review here (sorry). There is a tinge of watermelon, but it isn't too intrusive, and the calone is heavily disguised by the florals and vetiver. Weirdly enough, I saw an ad or an article about this perfume not long ago in a fashion magazine, and it has an insane popularity in my country.
