It all started when Kagiura moved into the school dorms with what seemed to be a bad-boy upperclassman. They get up in a hurry due to more people coming in to the haunted house, and Hirano sends Kagiura off to apologize to the guests. Yen Press has delivered an attractive volume that matches the others in the ongoing Sasaki and Miyano series with four colour pictures at the start, showcasing Harusono’s skilful use of radiant colour. Kagiura continues to receive advice from Niibashi about what he should do about his feelings for Hirano, and Niibashi comes to the conclusion that Hirano simply may not see Kagiura as a potential romantic interest. The short is in no way enough to properly introduce the characters and add the depth needed for them to stand out, however it does show us a snippet of their dynamic and how they interact while at the same time it brings forth a new dimension to both Hirano, who up until now existed to be Sasaki's close friend and to help him get with Miyano, and Kagiura, who we only knew as a name.We’ve reached the end of this way-longer-than-expected journey 🙌 thank you all so much for sticking with me this long, even as the official TL was released. This affects him deeply, and Kagiura starts avoiding Hirano as he's both made uncomfortable by these new feelings and losing confidence in his chances with Hirano, culminating in Kagiura confessing to Hirano honestly and clearly. Hirano meets Kagiura's family and plays with his cousins, even getting sunburnt and needing Kagiura's care in the process. Remember how interested Boys’ Love fanatic Miyano is in the relationship between the two, because ‘two boys sharing a bedroom’ is the starting point for ever so many BL romances?

I get up to date 5 minutes ago and I just found that the manga will have a delay of 3 months and I'm in tears. I've been a big fan of Sasaki and Miyano since pretty much the early chapters so when the Hirano and Kagiura manga was launched I was there.But I want to talk a bit about how much Hirano taking care of and doing things for Kagiura is a part of that happiness. My recommendation for fans of the manga is to not go into this short with high expectations and view it for what it is. In the first chapter, we see Hirano giving Kagiura a treat after a match, waking him up for morning practice, and taking care of him while sick. But after he’s left in the tender care of his mother hen of a roommate, Hirano, it’s too much to ask for Kagiura not to fall in love…right?
