About this deal

The Up2Stream Pro V3 boards had a compact design layout, and were manufactured with high-quality components and PCB process. Thus far, I can strongly recommend the Arylic S10 for anyone who wants to pump NAS and Internet based audio into their stereo amp or AV controller. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging .

WIFI is generally the easiest way to get up and running, but as just touched on above, it sometimes takes a while. I try to enter into all our reviews with an open mind, but the truth is I didn’t with this review, and given the pushiness of the folk at Arylic I really didn’t want to like it at all. Full disclosure: This is a paid review but I made it clear to them that I do not guarantee positive reviews or recommendations – I make in-depth, honest evaluations based on my impressions and the ultimate value that the product may or may not provide.

when attempting to switch to Bluetooth from Wi-Fi, it’s a real pain and doesn’t want to cooperate very much. you also have the option of using a LAN cable and parking the S10 close to your Router/modem setup, but you don’t necessarily have to. Das Gerät sollte einen Bluetooth Empfänger ersetzen und die Verbindung eines iPhones per AirPlay mit der Stereoanlage sicherstellen.

The S10 connects directly to your online streaming providers to play high quality audio, avoiding Bluetooth bottlenecks and compression. I will describe my experience with S10 and Up2Stream and maybe with some other models , hopefully Up2Stream HD DAC. But I also had major hissing and noise on both the speakers, but more prominently on the right channel. The biggest advantage of S10 is the very low overall noise from all of its inputs, and the zero noise sonic performance from its ethernet input. Hai provato il Wi Fi con il BT contemporaneamente attivo o il partire in BT e poi passare al Wi Fi sulla App 4Stream…?

Well made and nearly packaged to boot and some reasonable operating and set up instructions included. It doesn't support Primephonic (for now) so I used it via BlueTooth and was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality (until then I was skeptical about BT connection for HiFi). The company pushing this little unit for review were pretty pushy with two separate employees contacting me individually asking for a review and I nearly didn’t do this at all, however, a streamer for less than seventy quid has to be a bit of a bargain, doesn’t it? While not considered an audiophile piece, the purpose of the Arylic S10 is more basic to serve as a multi-room wireless streaming box without stealing the money inside your wallet to achieve this goal.

Sound quality is average, why stream Qobuz, Tidal or any other high quality data stream onto a average/mediocre DAC ? You can then choose to change the name of the S10 if you want which will be useful if you have a few of them around the house – I haven’t and so didn’t. I haven't investigated the USB option as my NAS does not support this for file serving but the Aux In function works ok if you want to pass through from another device. I don’t notice any major flaw in terms of noise and frequency response, just don’t expect to use as a high quality USB DAC given it’s 91db SNR rating.

The sound quality from this streaming board as is, is satisfying relative to generic CD player, or Bluetooth streaming. Now a little bit about the quality of the device, the application and the overall impression (artistic impression). My DIY preamp testing platform, using Arylic Up2Stream Pro V3 board (in the back corner) as music streamer.

It is a multi-room device as well which means you can stream with multiple units connected in the same network. On the front, an IR window, hardly noticeable, merged with the front side, and 4 LEDs for indicating the operating mode. All in all, despite my dislike for the 4 Stream app, it works as intended, and I experienced no bugs, no odd behaviors, and S10 is a fun to use unit that does what it is advertised to rather well, providing a fun and engaging experience for music listeners. For those times that you cannot find your phone or want music instantly you can use the included remote control. We already mentioned here some Arylic streamers in different threads but I think that Arylic deserves special thread about their streamers. The S10 connects directly to your online streaming providers to play high quality audio, avoiding Bluetooth bottlenecks and compression. I've still no idea whether it really upgraded it or not as nothing appeared to change and it actually said it had failed. I would say yes, but only if you have older gear that needs a middleman, or entry-level active speakers like Edifiers or Presonus’ that you want to stream music with without the need for a PC or laptop. Choose to play different tracks in each room or set up zones/groups all from one phone or tablet using the dedicated App.
