No matter, I love the League series by Sherrilyn Kenyon so she gets "five" stars from me every time!

Her dreams of becoming an author started in algebra class, where she spent most of her time writing short stories…. I'm giving it 4 because I believe Jayne Erixour and Alexos Hadrian Vicarius Scalera deserved their own full length book. People the world over consider violence in the United States as measurably different than that which troubles the rest of the globe, citing reasons including gun culture, the American West, Hollywood, the death penalty, economic inequality, rampant individualism, and more. I have always loved the way the different League's stories interconnect so that we still get to spend time with all of our favorites while also meeting some new folk. The small band of soldiers sneak in and split up in different directions to keep from being noticed. Though to be honest I would start at the beginning of the entire The League series to help a new reader understand everything and where all the characters interrelate and interconnect. At this stage I don’t think I’ll be switching the prologue around - but any further childhood memories will happen in flashbacks. It offers an important story of nationhood, told through the experiences and choices of civilians, Indians, politicians, soldiers, and the enslaved, providing historical context for understanding how violence has shaped the United States from its inception.If you love hot "romance" amongst born enemies, often on the run from an even bigger enemy, then I highly recommend you start with book 1. I felt that a “stoic” type of choice for the different “how do you feel” choices would work well … perhaps they were there, but I did not realize that. There is no background on the main characters simply endless dialogue of how badly they were betrayed .

due to being a novella, things were wrapped/resolved quickly and didn't really get from attraction/interest to love for the couple. They have been begging, pleading for Sherri to give us Jayne and Hadrian's story for probably a decade. The plot is not dissimilar to many of the others, there is no damsel in distress but Jayne is not what you expect. Between 2017 and 2022, I've pretty much forgotten the names and affiliations of most of the main players. In addition, gain proficiency with each weapon through gameplay, meaning as you gain experiencing using a weapon, you can increate its stats such as range, damage, ammo capacity etc to help you take on the Zeds, and win!To her, there is no truth outside of her blaster’s recoil and her resolve to let no one get too close. I am a huge fan of Sherrilyn and understand that she has faced challenges in recent years, but this book is 137 pages long!
