About this deal

Despite not having access to Finn's inner dialogue, readers will gain a full picture of him thanks to his years of therapy and earnest communication. There’s also a few variations of the phrase, with the most popular being “business before pleasure”. I guess I didn't quite understand why that is, considering she's one of the most open and sex-positive heroines I've ever read about.

Their relationship develops sexually but becomes emotionally involved as they get to know each other. Chandler's determined to keep their partnership as professional as possible, but when she admits to Finn their night together wasn't as mind-blowing as he thought it was, he's distraught. Since the story is told exclusively from Chandler’s POV, it’s a single narrator, but Hathaway Lee does a fantastic job.

As always, I can’t wait to see what Rachel Lynn Solomon does next in both the romance and YA worlds. As their connection grows deeper, they'll both have to determine if their arrangement is still strictly business. Reeling from that interaction, and rejection from her longtime crush, Wyatt, she meets a hot guy at a bar and does something she’s never done before–has a one night stand.

Again I have nothing bad to say about this book, I think everyone who loves romance should read it ( it checked all of my boxes; funny, sweet, swoony and steamy), it is definitely one of my favorites of this year, and I can not wait to see what is next from this author.I found the first couple of pages hard to follow but I settled in after that, and by the end of the sample was hooked, hooked, hooked. It wasn’t until I got so dehydrated that I ended up in the hospital that I realized I’d stopped doing things just for myself. Even the third act conflict was resolved maturely and professionally, with no immaturity, tantrums, selfishness, and self-depreciation. Chandler Cohen agrees to take on a C-list celebrity memoir client, Finn Walsh, despite their awkward mishaps in the bedroom. I loved how Rachel was able to find such a great balance and have both plenty of spicy scenes while also giving the characters space to grow closer and connect emotionally outside of them.

Although there are some moments when she opens up about herself and her past but it doesn't make her seem emotionally present for some reason she came across as stoic, which is where the book loses a star from me. The guy is great and they have a lot of chemistry…but the sex is less than stellar and Chandler sneaks away before he wakes up. ABOUT THE BOOK: Anna Green thought she was marrying Liam “West” Weston for access to subsidized family housing while at UCLA.I’ve discovered that the trick for me as a reader in loving this trope is the balance between the relationship development/romance AND getting the world-building and conflict in the ‘Hollywood’ part of the story. But when she finally admits to Finn that their night together wasn't as mind-blowing as he thought, he's mortified, and determined to make amends. They hang on on many occasions, where they have close proximity that is both voluntary and necessary. While I do appreciate how healthy their communication was, especially when you compare it to most romance out there which is constantly toying the line to straight up rape, they were just the most boring people to ever people. You should have told her who you were,” Noemie says, one hand gripping her quilted Kate Spade and the other white-knuckling the water bottle.

I can always count on Rachel Lynn Solomon to deliver rapid-fire dialogue, intense chemistry, and lived-in yet fresh characters that feel like your oldest friends. And hey, the longer we’re here, the longer I can pretend everyone else isn’t at Wyatt’s housewarming. Her brand of saccharine positivity doesn’t quite do it for me anymore—whenever I need self-love, it’s more likely to take shape as something handheld and battery-operated. I also adore that the author included that guys (even better that hes an actor) don't all have abs and perfectly smooth skin apart from the places that are 'sexy' to have hair. the only reason this isnt getting a higher rating from me is because RLS commits one of my greatest pet peeves and thats the overuse of pop culture references. All in all, Business or Pleasure is a refreshing and new rom-com that I’m hoping will win the hearts of many people.
