I’m here mostly to rave about books, but there’ll be a smattering of cosplay, publishing, and general tomfoolery mixed into this bookish cake!

Juliet Schwartz - Eighteen and Angel’s best friend that she was introduced to on the internet and is meeting for the first time to see The Ark together. When I closed the last page of this book, I had a million more questions than the entire time while reading. And I know that people actually do that in 2018, but it is so gross that it honestly just made me want to take a hot shower and scrub my skin every time Angel and Juliet would talk about it.The first-person perspective goes deep beneath the surface of what being a fan — and a member of a boyband — is really all about. I was reminded of my NSYNC days when reading this, remembering how I collected their merch and thought that going to one of their concerts was the greatest moment of my life at the time. And I’ve never really been obsessed with a “boy band” but I have for been a part of fandoms that have quite literally saved my life. This isn’t a story about them falling in love, so relax — sounds like something I’ve already said about Radio Silence to my friends lol.

I mean it’s so obvious that they love each other a lot, just not in the way the fandom wants them to.I wake up every day and I have to be Jimmy Kaga-Ricci, this famous guy, and I have to smile at the camera and say hi to people but . Give yourself something to look forward to that isn’t another person, but a better and happier version of yourself.

I mean there happens a lot that’s off screen and we never get to see it but if they really feel like they’re a fraud that would make me kind of sad. I’ve always felt a bit of pity for people that become celebrities as children or teenagers because it prevents them from properly socializing with their peers and forming a basis of what ordinary life is like for most people.

It didn’t feel forced that each boy had a different sexuality, they just felt like honestly one of my own friendship groups.
