Here’s the issue: this projects (very) moderately for 2-3 hours and quickly becomes a skin scent after that. I was really looking forward to trying this, as I know it's pretty popular and I have high expectations from anything by Mancera. The few times I’ve worn it, it’s literally in my nostrils ALL DAY giving me the feeling of being choked a little and I always get a headache. I like both and recommend both and if you only could choose one I would go with the original as it is more versatile and more mainstream in a way. The fruity notes are what I love most about the EDP, and they're non-existent here, so that's disappointing.

It is a sophisticated and complex fragrance that is perfect for any occasion, whether you're dressing up for a formal event or just enjoying a casual day out. Once the bergamot and lemon fade out it's a mossy, woody, leathery scent, though still with a sour background from the citrus that makes the leather smell like it was tanned old-school with urine for the better part of the first thirty minutes.The base notes of vanilla and leather provide a smooth and sensual finish that lingers on the skin, creating an irresistible and alluring aura that is sure to captivate everyone around you.

Very strong opening that settles into what i only can describe as the old dior cologne mixed with the old dior homme. Love way more than the original, I get much less fruitiness on this one and more citrus and darker notes in the dry down. The vanilla gives an ever so slight boost to the presence of fruits here, but in my opinion it only adds to the woodsy sensation. So overall I think it is slightly improved on the original, but let it sit for a while and try it later on.

Mancera continues to impress, it’s truly the niche sleeper, consistently trying something new, and executing quite well. But I'm very gratefully getting a consistent 9 hours of longevity with Intense CB, with moderate projection.

The citrus off the top smells amazing; though it only lasts about 20 or 30 minutes, I did catch hints of the citrus for about 3 hours into wearing the fragrance. This fragrance is weak, as another user has already stated, does not last long and has little sillage. Cedrat Boise is quite sweet-smelling, and the presence of leather makes it unsuitable for extremely hot weather.Top notes are Sicilian Lemon, Black Currant, Bergamot and Spicy Notes; middle notes are Fruity Notes, Patchouli Leaf and Water Jasmine; base notes are Cedar, Leather, Sandalwood, Vanilla, White Musk and Moss. Just a few initial impressions after 3 days wear, during the very unpredictable weather here in London over the last week and testing this side by side with an older original version of Cedrat Boise…. I wore it a few times and ended letting it sit for a couple of months because with a number of Mancera's, they tend to get stronger after a few wears and a few months of sitting. I think this has a smoother development and is without the "burnt Aventus" stage that I found in the original. So from my findings, it’s not out projecting Y edp, it lasts pretty long and on my skin, the Cambodian oud is definitely there.
