About this deal

In terms of aesthetics, I think the speaker is not a real looker, and actually it is a half-half situation with it, it has cool aesthetics, but only if you like it. Also, it is a mono speaker, and you will require two to have a full stereo sound. This being said, the speaker doesn't have a mono kind of sound, and it actually sounds pretty spacey but for a true stereo sound, you can connect two, and things will be even better. To start, the Exos-9 is big, heavy and loud, which makes it perfect for kid’s basement parties and both indoor and outdoor get-togethers. Even though the Exos-9 can be used outdoors, it is neither waterproof nor water resistant. Aiwa does offer an optional carrying case which gives the speaker an IPX4 splash and dustproof rating. The Soundboks series’ sound quality has improved with each new version. The Soundboks 4 has improved clarity and detail over the Soundboks 3 and better bass performance. If you need more power from the Soundboks, you can wirelessly pair two speakers together for improved soundstage and volume. The dynamic performance is impressive, and pushing the volume will only have a minor impact on the sound quality. Audio Connections The Soundboks 3 is visually imposing and has excellent build quality. The large gauge mesh on the front of the device openly displays the two 10″ woofers and 1″ tweeter, providing a top-quality music listening experience. The three separate amps inside drive the speaker with a whopping 216 watts, making it a box of sound. The speaker can be powered with two ‘Batterybokses’, which provide almost two days of thumping sound with a single charge. AIWA EXOS 9 vs Yamaha WX021 Music Cast 20–Yamaha has a pretty good little speaker for a similar amount of money, although depending on the sale going on, you may even find EXOS 9 running at the same price as Musiccast 20, which is usually a bit less expensive. In terms of size, Yamaha is much smaller. This being said, EXOS 9 has a battery and can be used far from an electric outlet, while Music Cast 20 is a little speaker that is meant to be used only near electric outlets, and it cannot be used portably. The sound is larger from EXOS 9, has much more bass, hits much deeper, with more impact, is more punchy and more dynamic. This being said, the midrange is much clearer, has more warmth and is more detailed, with more soundstage, when coming from Yamaha, basically the two being quite different from each other. If you want a little solution to add some music to your home, one that will sound sweet, detailed and delicate, Music Cast 20 is still highly recommended, while if you want a larger, heavier speaker that will create a real party and make everyone jump, EXOS 9 should really do the job.

To simplify things, two characteristics you can usually find in the specs list determine the max SPL of a speaker and can tell you how loud a speaker can be at max volume. The first one is the sensitivity (usually measured in dB at 1m distance while only 1W of power is supplied). The second one is the power rating (peak power output, to be more specific). The power output is measured in Watts (W). When you know these two values, you can tell how loud a speaker can be. You just need to know one more rule – when the power doubles, the SPL level increases by 3dB. The sound quality of the PartyBox 310 is also excellent. With two 6.5″ woofers and two 2.5″ tweeters, the sound signature is quite balanced and less recessed in the upper range than the PartyBox 710. The low-end thump and treble representation are impressive, making this speaker perfect for those who want to listen to music with much life and energy. Things we don’t likeThe most impressive thing about JBL PartyBox 300 is the sound output. It’s quite powerful but also nicely balanced, with clear mids, and engaging highs. The built-in battery delivers 35-40 hours of continuous playtime. The recharge takes less than 6 hours. The Ultimate Ears Hyperboom is the biggest and most impressive Bluetooth speaker in Ultimate Ears’’ ‘Boom’ range. It’s a cross-compatible, user-friendly, and portable speaker with many useful features that make it perfect for parties, gatherings, and daily use. Its cutting-edge adaptive equalization technology and great sound quality make it a popular choice for music lovers. Things we like Aiwa Exos-9 is a nice-looking and quite large Bluetooth speaker. It’s portable and you can use it outdoors but be aware that it’s not rugged or waterproof.

Unlike the smaller models in this series, the PartyBox 1000 does not feature a built-in battery. This speaker requires a power outlet to work, something that’s important to consider. Despite its Bluetooth functionality, this isn’t what we’d consider a portable speaker. Features Limit Exposure Time: Avoid listening to loud music or sounds for extended periods. Prolonged exposure to high volumes can cause cumulative damage to your hearing. Make sure to take breaks and give your ears time to recover. Aiwa Exos-9 is a battery-operated speaker. The battery is not built into the speaker and it can be removed and replaced. It should be noted that I have absolutely no affiliation with AIWA, I am not receiving any incentive for this review or to sweeten things out. I’d like to thank AIWA for providing the sample for this review. This review reflects my personal experience with AIWA EXOS 9. Every opinion expressed is mine and I stand by it, the purpose of this review is to help those interested in AIWA EXOS 9 find their next music companion. The JBL PartyBox 310 is an impressive speaker that brings a lot of features to the table. One of the most notable things about this speaker is its ability to provide an immersive light show that responds to the beat of your music. The various light patterns add to the party atmosphere and make the speaker stand out. Additionally, the PartyBox App provides full control over the light show, allowing you to customize it. The USB powebank port can be used for charging phones or tablets. Assuming that the capacity of the battery is 15,600mAh, you can fully recharge Samsung S9 or iPhone X 5 times. It should be noted that I have absolutely no affiliation with AIWA, I am not receiving any incentive for this review or to sweeten things out. Fact 3 : The difference between dangerous and acceptable loudness (aka SPL or sound pressure level) is actually very small and subtle. For example, exposure to 90dB SPL for more than 8 hours/day can already cause noise-induced hearing loss. 90dB is the average noise that a lawnmower produces. If the noise level (SPL) increases by only 10dB (to 100dB), the max allowed exposure time is only 2h/day. Anything longer than that will, in the long run, cause some damage. Tailgater features a simple boxy design. The enclosure is made of MDF and has reinforcements along the edges. The corners are additionally reinforced. The whole speaker looks durable and very solid. There are two handles on the left and right ends so you can carry it around. Considering the size, adding a pair of wheels and a telescoping handle would’ve been a better idea.

Putting the boom in this modern-day boombox is a 6.5-inch woofer which is designed to produce a hearty amount of party-driving bass well below the 60 Hz mark. Taking care of the midrange frequencies are two 3-inch drivers topped off by two 1-inch tweeters. The speaker uses multiple digital amplifiers (wattage not disclosed), and is equipped with a 5-band, user-adjustable EQ with fourpresets plus a battery-saving mode. JBL Boombox has an amazing battery. The capacity is 20Ah and the advertised continuous playtime is 24h (at moderate volumes). The recharge takes up to 7h and you can use it even while charging. Will you be outdoors often? Are you planning on taking this speaker everywhere? Is there a risk of dirt/sand/moisture? Do you want a speaker with an app? Then the hyperboom is a no brainer... and — you will be VERY happy with it! If you’ve never listened to an Exos 9, you’ll find pretty much nothing to complain about because it sounds great! Nevertheless, the speaker “Exos-9” is to be understood as an homage to the best Aiwa times. For us, this is reason enough to take a close look at the device, which was released in 2015 and is currently on the upswing again. Design and Workmanship

Design and features

The largest part of the front panel is covered with a removable and transparent aluminum grille that protects those 5 drivers we’ve talked about. You can leave the grille on or remove it – it all depends on your taste.

Considering the size and number of drivers inside the speaker and the playtime, 15,600mAh seems more believable. 2,600mAh is simply to small for this kind of speaker. Besides, USB powerbank port would be useless if this was the actual battery capacity. To put things in perspective, Samsung S9 features 3,000mAh battery while iPhone X features 2,700mAh battery. So, there is quite a bit to talk about EXOS 9, it is a unique product with a lot going on for it. First, and foremost, you have to imagine that this is a huge speaker. This ain’t one of those small-ish portable Bluetooth speakers, this is something that will keep your party going if you install it in a large hall. It will also provide a beautiful bass, and I have fallen in love with the bass more than anything from its sound.Protecting your ears is essential when exposed to loud sounds, especially those produced by powerful speakers. By taking proactive measures, you can prevent hearing damage and maintain your hearing health. Here are some ways to safeguard your ears: The Bluetooth has good range and is reliable, I was able to still have good signal, no dropouts, and reliable connection even from across two rooms, larger in size. This means that you probably won’t have issues even if you’re actually using the speaker at a party and dancing around. The battery has a life of about 9 hours, for a moderate volume level, but that will be cut a bit shorter if you’ll be using the speaker at its maximum volume, but in that case you’ll surely either be at a rave, or have the cops called on you for noise disturbance, and I’m not half joking, this is a loud speaker at maximum volume. JBL Boombox is a supersized version of those very popular JBL Bluetooth speakers like JBL Charge, Extreme, or JBL Flip. It has the same cylindrical design with a strong waterproof fabric wrapped around the speaker. On the bottom, you have a rubberized base and, on the top, there’s a nice and durable handle. On the left and right ends, you have those recognizable JBL passive bass radiators. The Tailgater houses two drivers – a 6.5in woofer and 1in horn tweeter. The bass is strong, punchy, but not very deep and thumping. The mids are not the most detailed but are fairly clear. The treble is pretty consistent and accurate. Things we don’t like JBL Boombox is IPX7-certified, it has a simple control scheme, powerful battery , and it’s very loud. Until the introduction of the JBL PartyBox line, Boombox was the biggest and loudest portable Bluetooth speaker made by JBL. Now, it’s ‘’only’’ the loudest waterproof Bluetooth speaker.
