Have I already mentioned that I hate Victoria and Jeremiah? Well, I do, especially Victoria she befriends Juniper only to stand by and help her father and his cult try to sacrifice her. I was excited to see more of Callum and Everly. We did get a little more of them with this book and what Everly strives for (and I can't wait to see what they do next). Seeing more of Rae and Leon was where it was at for side characters. I absolutely ate up the moments that we got more of Leon. Rae why couldn’t you have given your soul at the start you can’t live without Leon and want him stay around to protect you but won’t take the deal he’s offering. I can’t lie the part where she did give her soul to him was everything I can’t believe I’d ever be supporting that but hey it’s fictional MY INNER MUSLIM IS SCREAMING . I’m just happy Leon got what he wanted because I’d totally die for Leon he was PERFECTION your blood, piss, sweat, cum – i want it all. mine. abandon your inhibitions now. you won’t have a use for them anymore.” There were some side characters that I loved and some that I hated. Let's start with the ones that I hated. There was Victoria and Jeremiah Hadleigh who were so fake and only befriended Rae because they needed her for the sacrifice. I liked Inaya, but she was so blind to what was going on with Rae, but I guess that was partly Rae's fault with not telling her best friend what was going on. I also enjoyed Zane, a friend of Leon's who is also a demon and Juniper (the one he claimed), the sacrifice that got away. We didn't see much of Juniper, but I have a feeling from her small appearance that I'm going to love her. I loved Everly and Callum, though we didn't see much of them and can't wait for their book! Her Soul for Revenge is a parallel story to Her Soul To Take, showing the same events from Juniper and Zane's point of view. Although I was wondering exactly how this would work, I loved every second of it! I loved seeing bits and pieces of Leon and Rae's relationship from another perspective! Even more than that, Juniper was the protagonist I've always hoped for! She was an absolute badass who just needed a bit of help from a demon to get her revenge.I enjoyed the spice and build up in this book. It is more fast paced and high angst since both of these MCs are tortured and morally grey. It is on the darker side of romance but after reading these about these two you would not expect anything else. Juniper and Zane are also more dark and twisty than Leon and Rae, and I’m hoping the last book will have more with all three couples in it.

One of my favorite parts of Her Soul for Revenge was getting more insight about Hell and the mythology surrounding the Deep One. I am here for Lovecraftian horror and the blending of the creepy, dread-inducing monsters with such a fantastic romance is everything I've ever wanted in a dark romance. The ending was perfect and I loved the brief discussion of mental health and the importance of therapy.

When these two meet there are instant sparks and Leon finds himself desperate to keep Rae alive even without knowing quite why. Rae is also in turn fascinated by this demon equal parts turned on and scared. I am so very thankful Harley sent me a copy of her new title, Her Soul for Revenge. This is what I needed tbh. A Harley book!!! Her romances never let me down and I seriously fall harder and harder for her romance heroes each and every time I finish one of her books. The best was how Harley wrote her scene when she faces off with the Dark God and refuses to bow to him.
