Immediately upon applying this lotion for the first time, my skin felt instantly quenched. My legs, arms, and torso were left soft and supple, and the lotion dried down to a nice smooth finish. The skin below our chin deserves just as much attention as the skin on our faces, and upgrading your regular body lotion to one that does more than just moisturize is a great way to stave off signs of premature aging like hyperpigmentation, lines, wrinkles, and loss of firmness. As someone who once, long ago, worshipped the sun, preventative body care has now become a priority for me—so naturally, I was excited to take Medix 5.5’s Retinol + Ferulic Acid Anti-Sagging Treatment for a spin. This moisturizing cream, also contains great and natural ingredients and these ingredients hydrate and moisturize to help leave your skin feeling smooth.

After using Medix 5.5 Retinol + Ferulic Acid, I started to notice that my skin was becoming irritated and my pores were getting clogged. Uses: Hydration, minimizing the look of sun damage, improving the appearance of wrinkles and crepey skin While it didn’t leave behind any greasy residue that some lotions are notorious for, I didn’t feel like the product was fully sinking in. Sweltering heat waves are currently hitting New York, and I felt that anytime I sweated even slightly (which, in this heat, doesn’t take much), I would notice the product sitting on top of my skin—and things would get pretty slimy depending on my level of sweatiness. Even when I’d shower the next day, I’d feel it washing off, which left me skeptical of just how much of the ingredients are absorbing into my skin and getting to work.

Vitamin C helps promote an even skin tone, while also helping stimulate collection production to improve skin elasticity + firmness. Vitamin C also helps to minimize redness or irritation in the skin, helps protect from environmental stressors like UV rays, and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, sun damage, & wrinkles. Over a longer period of time using Medix 5.5 Retinol + Ferulic Acid, my skin was badly breaking out and my skin was highly congested. I had deep breakouts around my cheeks and along my forehead. This definitely didn’t agree with my skin at all. Not only did it make me breakout, but I didn’t see any difference to my fine lines and wrinkles at all.
