stars! Miles Ever After is a collection of novellas, or extended epilogues, for the Miles series. I thought I was looking forward to this, but I was really only looking forward to the catchup with Tristan and Claire (since The Takeover is my fav book in this series). But as a whole, I’m feeling very meh about this whole thing, didn’t really like any of the other novellas besides Tristan & Claire’s. Now obviously fans of the series will love this but for me it just reminded me of why I had disliked certain characters’ books. 😅 Well this epilogue was kinda depressing. Most of it dealt with Elliot and Kate fertility issues and didn’t exactly give me warm fuzzy feeling that I wanted for an extended epilogue. Still liked reading it since Elliot and Kate are my 2nd fav after Tristan and Claire. Also that ending was sweet tho. What hasn’t changed, though, is the laugh out loud moments. And no, I don’t mean that it’s a rip-roaring comedy, just that it’s that bizarre in parts. I wasn't a fan of Christopher's story (did he really love his partner to begin with...or did his love for the little boy keep them together?) and stopped reading when I got to him. I absolutely loved to learn more about Eddie as well. I believe the reason why I loved the Do-Over so much is because of how Christopher fell in love with Hayden, and Eddie. Knowing that he is all grown up, and succeeding made me so happy.

Having a character do/think/say something, then repeating it two sentences later, really throws the reader off. As is having four separate female characters who all seem to do/think/say similar things. The Casanova - hard to not spoil however this epilogue sees Kate and Elliot through a more turbulent and trying time in their relationship. Its slightly jarring compared to the other epilogues however it has one of the more sweet moments in the entire series between Elliot, Kate, Emily and Jameson.

This epilogue just gave another example for why Tristan Miles is the best Miles brother. He is so sweet, and his relationship with his (Claire’s) sons is so cute and so funny! I had such a blast reading their story. I love them so much. The Casanova: I loved the story between Elliot and Kate that I read it multiple times. However, I wasn’t too happy with their epilogue. Even though they got their happy ending I think they deserved more. Kate went through so much losing his parents, not having a relationship with his sister to go through infertility.. given that on the book it said that Elliot got Enchanted because he wanted to raised his children There (I thought he wanted to have several) as well as his brother have and only having one child wasn’t the end I expected for them.

I'm a fan of The Stopover, love The Takeover, and am a fan of her across the pond reads that center grumpy men (Mr. Masters and Mr. Garcia). Miles Ever After is a modern masterpiece, a powerful novel that can be read on its own. This novel is written by T.L. Swan. She is a true storyteller, and Miles Ever After is her best book. It is an epic tale of family, secrets, loss, marriage, betrayal, friendships, laughter, and regrets. Miles Ever After is a heartfelt novel written with compassion and hope, reconciling the past to pave a road to happiness and second chances. The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. They made readers love them, they made readers sad, they made readers angry, they made readers laugh, they made readers cry, and they made readers believe in the promise of love and home.
