We would not recommend using RMR-86 on carpets. RMR-86 is a bleach-based formula which could result in discoloring the carpet. Under proper storage RMR-86 is scientifically designed to maintain its performance properties for a minimum of 6 months. Due to its chemical makeup, it will break down slowly after that and lose its strength.
