The determination of her character and the composure that Natalie shows in her writing, is something she should feel incredibly proud of, along with how she has managed to deal with such a life-changing ordeal. This hit hard for me, and I wanted to reach inside this story and hug her tight. When the twin brother of a fellow trooper commits suicide under mysterious circumstances in Thailand, Standing and his brother take time off to investigate. In Thailand they are assured that it was clearly a suicide, but the longer Standing and Green remain the less things feel right. And finally, when they push too far, there is an explosion of violence and it doesn’t look too good for the unarmed good guys but of course, they are SAS trained….

Lots happen, lots of sexy times, lots of Clara's inner dialogue, and not an excessive amount of description of places, clothes, or food. It wasn't overboard. At this point he has said they'd give it a go and see how it goes so in my mind they are in a relationship, the Hero and heroine.He writes as he speaks, entirely from the heart . . . with his usual warmth, care, concern and honesty, a brilliant read.' ***** Still Standing … How? How is she still standing? How did she physically and emotionally survive, keep her tiny baby alive and then manage to put it all down on paper to share with us? How did she find the strength to go on to rebuild her life? I asked myself these questions SO many times, even after I'd finished the book I still questioned where she got the strength from. The conclusion I came to is - she survived because she's a mother and she knew her kids needed her around. And Clara spends her time complaining everyone think she's stupid. Spoiler Alert: Clara you are stupid! You let a man you don't even really know get you drunk, tell you to shut up, control your whole life, cheat on you, hurt you physically, you don't think about your health or the possibility of getting pregnant... You are stupid! Mark my word, this is not the only Wild West MC book. There are many characters to care about, bad people who need to be taken out, and couples to share their love stories with us. So when you get angry about something else, I don’t stand in your way but somehow get in your way, do you get to put your hands on me?”
