Savio isn’t an easy character to like but Cora made an amazing job showing all his sides and layers and still pulling us with his sweet talk and charm. Meantime, Gemma is this sweet innocent girl with a dose of sass, a perfect fit for Savio. I was totally surprised by them. You think you know everything when you don’t and they weren’t what I thought what they would be but this isn’t negative, it was actually the best. ⁣ One of the things I love most about Cora’s mafia alpha males is that they love their women fiercely. You’d think that in their world, and the world they had grown up in, they would treat women unfairly and like they are below them, but in reality, they respect them more than anyone else and their girls are truly the leaders of their worlds. They don’t try to control them unless it’s to protect them and everything they do is to benefit and shield someone they love. This applies to all of Cora’s mafia families, even the Outfit on occasion ;)!

I'm really sorry for giving their book, Twisted Loyalties 2 stars. It was WAY BETTER than Twisted Hearts. Compared to Savio and Gemma, Fabiano and Leona are top tier romance. i'd rather read draco malfoy and cedric diggory love triangle fanfictions in wattpad than read about savio sleeping around and being a ho for 60% ( !!!) of this book. Two: I wanted more from Savio's reaction to finding Gemma in the restaurant. He thought she was dead. Yes, it was sad and there was angst, but I expected more.

Gemma Bazzoli herself is innocently sweet and completely different to how I had envisioned her, in the best possible way. Her fierceness to commit to what she values and believes in is what drew me to her character and made me root for her happiness all the way throughout. She is extremely passionate about those she cares about and a true fighter through and through. Despite belonging to a very traditional mafia family, she’s still just a normal girl and this makes understanding her a lot more simple, she does normal things such as sneaking out at night, having sleepovers with her best friend things that we have never witnessed before in this world. Both Savio and Gemma gave their book a very youthful vibe which is quite different to Cora’s other books in the BIB and CC series. Life is too short for settling for less or regretting forever that you didn't even try once to get what you want.aaanyways, don't mind the intro because this is actually a Savio Falcone appreciation post!! yaaayy!! Gemma is a character so driven by her upbringing. Unfortunately, she has a crazy crush on Savio when she’s young, and it’s something that never goes away.
