About this deal
If your taro powder includes other ingredients, make sure to adjust your sweetener and milk when you mix up your drink.
Sugar-free: although I haven’t tried this, you could use Swerve Brown Sugar instead of the light brown sugar in the boba syrup. Milk: Use dairy – any fat level, such as 2%, whole milk, half and half, or even light cream. Or non-dairy milk– i.e., oat milk, coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk, etc. This pastel purple powder is an easy way to make boba at home as it already contains several other ingredients. Feel free to vary the flavors and sweetness: If you don’t like the taro boba tea flavor, try a different version. You can make bubble tea in almost any flavor! You can also adjust the sweetness and creaminess to your liking!
Making Bubble tea with Powder
There are two main methods to make taro powder, described below. They are very similar, but yet slightly different. Traditional Method Vanilla extract - Optional, but highly recommended! I used real vanilla paste, but you can also use vanilla essence.
It’s not uncommon to be put off by taro flavour at first, but end up liking it once you try a different boba.
