Reading in DH3 how Julian finds out about Bridget and Magnolia marrying BJ (as she should) is going to hurt. The rest of the Box Set I honestly don't even care. They had one good scene when they were laughing about Christian's sex tape, so I guess there's that. At least they weren't beating up on Christian this whole book. Progress. So we can safely admit that this useless relationship dragged Julian’s character in the mud and made him unbearable. Good job. srsly I could not comprehend why Julian is behaving like he’s a main character when 𝘏𝘌 𝘐𝘚 𝘕𝘖𝘛 𝗜𝗱𝗰 𝗶𝗳 𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘃, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗰 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘃 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗭𝗔, 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝟴 🤡🤡) He’s supposed to stfu and STAY IN HIS LANE.

I enjoyed the sex tape plot and I enjoyed the few scenes with the Box Set which were not solely focused on Magnolia. Two stars for Daisy and Christian but even that fell short to me because they were side characters in their own book.. more to come in this review, I have a lot to get off my chest.. This book has been painfully bad to read. Jessa Hastings clearly forgot the plot right until the very last chapters and decided to fill the remaining space with unnecessary shit. too many plot lines, too many useless characters (YES TILLER, I AM LOOKING AT YOU) and not enough twists. like... the possibilities are literally right there. make Tiller betray Daisy and Julian. I hated this book so much that writing this is boring me so let’s move on onto the list of things I liked:

Summary

I had some expectations for this and none of them were met. Truly made me feel nothing, absolutely nothing. I hated how long they stayed together after Daisy realized they weren't gonna work. It was just annoying. The only good thing that came out of this relationship was the stand off in the bar. That was a great scene. A girl who was brought up in the world of crime, yearning to be normal. Daisy is SO badass.' (FIVE STARS) You will fall in love with Daisy Haites a million times over and be desperate for more of her story when it ends.’⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Everything gets more complicated when beautiful, broken-hearted socialite Magnolia Parks enters the scene and Julian finds himself entangled with her. Because for Julian, falling in love isn't just unwelcome - it could be deadly for everyone involved . . . i felt so conflicted on what to rate this book because i know if this was just a christiandaisy book i would be in love. but its not, so here we are 🫤

Christian - who are you and what have you done with Christian. I almost didn't recognize this new Christian. He was so mature. I honestly came into this book expecting to rag on him like I do for the previous books, but I had very few complaints. I hated how he reacted to Daisy's reaction to the sex tape, but he moaned Daisy's name so I got over it. This man was so obsessed with Daisy he switched colognes, stared at daisies, and basically thought about her nonstop. I loved him. He was truly the best character in this book (the bar is rather though I must admit). This book was supposed to be about Christian and Daisy’s relationship, and the aspects of it we’re shown in the book I liked, but I felt their time together was overshadowed by Julian and Magnolia. After finishing, I was left feeling like Christian and Daisy were afterthoughts or side characters, which makes no sense in a book carrying Daisy’s name. Henry and Taura: i honestly don't care about them. he's the loser of the group, the spare Ballentine brother that we don't really need and she can't make a choice and stand by it for the life of her. let's hope they end up together so Jonah can FINALLY be free and we can move on to better things! i don’t know if i’m gonna read another daisy haites book because i can’t stand julian and i really like christiandaisy but i’m not as invested in them because of julian taking over their books. he should’ve just been given a novella that i can ignore or something. so disappointing.

I’m having a hard time deciding what to do with this. I get that the universe bears her name and so she’s just the main character (and then I guess that means I just hate her and probably these books aren’t for me) but also, I think the author is really doing readers dirty. She mentioned once that Magnolia is based off of a younger version of herself and once I read that it all made more sense and I can’t get out of my head how narcissistic and vain this writing is. I want to start by saying I have been reading this series since early 2022, and I have recommended it to many people. I liked MP1 and MP2, so it’s disappointing for me to say what I need to about this book. I was so disappointed because I hoped and expected to be taken in by their story again and I was dead wrong. Too much Tiller for too long and I have to say.. didn’t know she hadn’t confirmed Daisy and Christian as end game. That makes me even more pissed off because Magnolia is having an entire live story play out with Julian and yet we know it’s pointless, but we have to wait YEARS to find out if Daisy and Christian make it? I would just guess yes, but the way she hates anyone other than Magnolia and BJ makes me wonder if she won’t just ruin them too so she has characters to hurt and emotions to manipulate readers. Hands down the most emotional romance book I have ever read and therefore my favourite' (FIVE STARS)
