Okay. Even though I am EXTREMELY upset about the plot twist at the end, this is my first time ever reading a novella and I TRULY had so much fun with it. As this is a prequel to the whole series, you can read it even if you haven’t started it. You can also try reading it after finishing the first book in the series, as it answers some of the unanswered questions in the first book. This book will give you the answer to it. This is a prequel to the A Good girls guide to murder series. Overall, I enjoyed this sm more than I thought I would!! 😍 I would absolutely recommend if you loved the agggtm series and want more content. It's such a fun and genuinely clever story 💗💗

The organisation will send 15 million book tokens out to children across the country, enabling to get one of these exclusive books for free. Schools can register to receive these tokens here, and they will also be available with McDonald’s Happy Meals throughout March. Fans of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder can look forward to reuniting with Pip and her fellow characters in a different medium at the end of 2023, when a TV show based on the series (adapted by Poppy Cogan for producer Moonage Pictures) is scheduled to air on BBC Three in the U.K., with BBC Studios handling international distribution. Pippa Fitz-Amobi is not in the mood for her friend's murder mystery party. Especially one that involves 1920's fancy dress and pretending that their town, Little Kilton, is an island called Joy. But when the game begins, Pip finds herself drawn into the make-believe world of intrigue, deception and murder.I will say, I don't generally gravitate towards novellas (or short stories, for that matter). It's because I find them to be a bit unsatisfying. Just as you're getting into the whole thing, it's already over. And it felt a bit like that here. I wanted more. More of the murder, more of the solving, more of the explanation. But I suppose it's better to end up wanting more than wanting less, so that's a small complaint. One of them is killer. Pip plays Celia Bourne, estranged and neglected niece of Remy, working in London as a governess to a well-off family. The other suspects are children of Remy: Bobby( elder son), Ralph ( younger son), Lizzie ( Ralph’s wife), Humphrey the devoted butler, Dora the new cook. The investigation conducted by Howard Whey played by Jamie , one of their hosts and big brother of Connor. ( You may recognize those names if you read the first book of the series)

But as Pip plays detective, teasing out the identity of the killer clue-by-clue, the murder of the fictional Reginald Remy isn't the only case on her mind ... Pippa Fitz-Amobi is not in the mood for her friend’s murder mystery party. Especially one that involves 1920’s fancy dress and pretending that their town, Little Kilton, is an island called Joy. But when the game begins, Pip finds herself drawn into the make-believe world of intrigue, deception and murder. i loved the side characters within this book. they made the game fun and the funny scenes between some of the characters made the book better for me. i’m not exactly the biggest fan of pip yet, but i do hope that will change once i read the series. not to mention pip missed the point of the game, which was to have fun, and it felt as though she didn’t want to interact with any of them despite being their friend. she was quiet pretty much the entire game but i liked how the banter between her friends remained. I was aiming for a thriller that is almost defined by its limitations in time and space, and I decided to set myself the challenge of writing a book that was set in just eight hours,” she said. “The story unfolds in the same amount of time it takes to read the book—a real-time effect, if you will. I also wanted the entire story to be set in a single, confined setting. It was quite a claustrophobic, uncomfortable story to write, and I hope it reads that way too. The tension and the stakes are dialed up to 100 here.” Find out where it all began for Pip in this prequel to the best-selling A Good Girl's Guide to Murder and Good Girl, Bad Blood.Ooohmgee…I am so throwing my own murder mystery party. I don’t know how, where or when. But. I will make it happen!!! Since this is just a pretend murder, the stakes are low. It feels more cozy than suspenseful, but the book does a nice job of injecting some dark atmosphere into the mix, so it's still quite riveting. In fact, I had trouble putting it down and breezed through the whole thing in about two hours. Pip found that—most of the time—other people only slowed you down. That was why she despised group projects.”
