About this deal

Because the hole saw only cuts the perimeter of the material and not the core material itself, they are often a preferred choice for making larger holes. The same hole can be made much faster and using less power than with a standard or flat drill bit. Hole saws will come with differing TPI's (teeth per inch). The higher the TPI, the slower the cut but smoother the finish. The lower the TPI, the faster the cut but it will be less smooth. I've got a scaffold board and an old bit of kitchen. Cuts through it like a hot knife through butter. Easy. Easy to clean out. Straight out. Give it a little clean. Easy as that. It cuts though stuff really easily. Kitchen cupboard flew through it. Pro-Fit. Great bit of kit. Brilliant. Of course our trade partners and importers are a very important link to our market, so without a doubt they’re an integral part of ProFit’s success. Our business is organized in such a way to best help support such teamwork in the form of marketing support, training and the ever so important transfer of knowledge. So I've managed to just get this undone, pretty easily actually, to be fair, a chisel placed through there. And thanks to this flat edge, I was able to get a pair of grips on it quite nicely. I mean, and this is now suitable for any hole saw. Obviously, these are specifically designed for wood, having these different type of teeth on them. Got through a lot nicer than any metal or bimetallic hole saw does, usually it burns its way through. So definitely for wood, these are definitely better than any other hole saws.

There are two centre drills 8mm for up to 32mm diameter holesaws and a 10mm HSS Centre drill for sizes greater than 33mm. A hole enlarging arbor is also included. Lots of space in the case for additional holesaws. Pro-Fit was re-launched in the UK in 2017 at Toolfair by pro-fit-holesaws.co.uk and in conjunction with Expert Trades.

Yeah, all in, I'd definitely buy a set of these, I think. I may even look into them, see how much they cost. Plus, I've got a couple of pilot bits already. First couple of wood bits started. Our in house R&D department has a daily routine of developing smart new holesaw solutions. After all this is where 100% of our focus lies, and this is how we keep our innovation curve steep!

I'm impressed with the way that this cut through this. In fact, it's so good, I want to give it another go, because I want to see if the piece of wood that I cut out stays inside. The teeth will either have a variable or constant tooth pitch and are usually set at a 60° angle to cut through the material easily. Variable pitch is when the distance between the teeth varies. This provides a smoother cut with reduced wear on the blade. A constant pitch is when the distance between those two points remains constant. They cut a little slower than variable pitch but make a finer cut. It's handy to note that the higher the TPI, the less likely the hole saw is to tear your workpiece. The lower the TPI, the more likely this is. We typically advise that 1-4 teeth per inch equals a low TPI, whilst 10+ teeth per inch equals a high TPI.

Hi guys, Steve here, or Spud the Sparky. Been asked by Expert Trades to review the Pro-Fit Hole Saw Set. A. This is the Transition Hex and allows two holesaws to be fitted so the smaller holesaw is used as the centre for the larger hole. Hi, this is Andy from Bennetts Safe Gas. And today I'm reviewing the Pro-Fit. Thank you Tool Talk for sending this out to me to review. Pro-Fit, I think, is now owned by Monument, so should be good, top quality.
