About this deal

It’s the XX Revolution summer collection, and the XX Revolution Bronze Skin Cream Bronzer instantly caught my eye as being a potential dupe for a couple of high-end products. It’s usually applied with a kabuki brush and can be used as both a bronzer and a contour, depending on your skin tone.

Being a cream bronzer, it works very well on bare skin as well as over foundation. Is the Chanel Bronzing Cream worth it? If you love luxury beauty products and don’t mind paying a higher price for a single makeup item, the Chanel bronzing base could be a good option for you. Have you tried this product or are there any other cream bronze or contour you’d recommend? I’d love to hear your suggestions for other products in the market at the moment as I’m always looking for more cream base products!

The Chanel bronzer dupes

The XX Revolution Bronze Skin Cream Bronzer is available in 3 shades; Inspire (light), Candid (medium) and Agenda (deep). I chose the lightest shade which is Inspire, and it’s an orange toned cream bronzer with a completely matte finish. So once I finally got some product on the skin, it does blend out really nicely and almost feels like a powder cream hybrid. It’s not creamy or glowy as I usually like my base products to be, this one definitely has a matte finish. There are of course pros and cons for glowy or matte products, one being staying power on the skin. This one does not budge, even on hot days under a mask it lasts incredibly and also layers well under other cream or powder products such as blush or highlight. It’s possible therefore to find a good Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel dupe or a dupe of the newer reformulated Chanel bronzer.

We’re here for that natural glow with our light weight creamy bronzer available in three wearable shades. This ultra-creamy formula turns from cream to power and dries in a super soft matte finish. Use to build and create that XXTRA bronze Natural glow.“ That is, what was once called the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base and has now been recently renamed as the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream.Even when it was reformulated at the same time as the name change, which included the addition of hydrogenated coconut oil for a smoother and more emollient base, the product still has many a beauty fan raving about it. It feels quite balm-like in consistency, and not whipped like I thought it would. As soon as I saw the XX Revolution Bronze Skin Cream Bronzer, it instantly reminded me of the Chanel Les Beiges Cream Bronzer, which does have a light, slightly whipped consistency, but this version from Revolution is a solid balm. Delivery is on a selected date, you can choose a delivery day of your choice, up to 10 days in advance (Excluding next day delivery. Postcode restrictions apply) However, this XX Revolution cream bronzer sets completely with a satin finish, which looks both natural and flattering on the skin. It’s so blendable, you can even use your fingers to blend it out, and as the formula (on this shade at least) is buildable, I feel like you can’t go wrong with application.

XX Revolution recently launched the Bronze Collexxion, featuring the XX Revolution Bronze Skin Cream Bronzer, Skin Glow Tinted Skin Boosters, XX Shine Balms and three new eyeshadow quads too. The Chanel bronzer is a solid cream product in a jar. It currently comes in three different shades. Below is a long list of cream products which can be used in the same way as either the original Soleil Tan de Chanel or the new reformulated Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream.

How do you use the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream?

If the shades don’t suit you then it’s definitely worth exploring some of the alternatives below. What is the Chanel bronzer dupe? Fortunately for bargain hunters and budget beauty fans, there are a growing number of Chanel bronzer dupes to choose from which can save money. Cream bronzers aren’t my favourite, as I never found a formula I really enjoyed, but I love this XX Revolution formula, and if you’ve never tried a cream bronzer before, this would be the perfect starting point, as you really can’t go wrong. They are also designed to give the same effect which is to mimic a natural sun kissed glow and add some warmth to any make up look.

Also don’t miss these dupes for NARS Orgasm blush and the Fenty Gloss Bomb dupes as well as the MAC Paint Pot dupe list and the Flawless Filter dupe list. If you have oily skin, and think there’s a shade that will work for you, I think it would be worth a go. However I have very dry skin and the shades didn’t really work for my skin tone so I wouldn’t recommend. I’ll definitely continue to use the pot I have, but I wont be repurchasing when I run out. The product should work in theory, a firmer cream bronze in a warmer shade (rather than the contour shades I have in the ELF and Collection ones) but it just doesn’t work all that well in practice. I’d definitely try other cream products from XX Revolution if they brought more out, but this one is a fail for me. When it comes to bronzing, cream bronzers are great for warming up looks, softly sculpting skin, and still leaving you with a glowy finish. Whilst powder-based bronzers give a matte, shine-free finish and are best applied with a brush, cream bronzers glide onto the skin, can be applied with your fingers or a sponge, and provide a natural, satin finish. They typically have a fluid or balm-like consistency which allows you to blend them onto the skin as you would a concealer or foundation. Cream bronzers are also perfect for those with drier skin as they provide you with added hydration and prevent your makeup from turning cakey during the day. One cult beauty classic that many people love to include in their makeup routine is the Chanel bronzer. Another good thing about trying a dupe is that, even though Chanel has tried to be more inclusive by introducing different shades to its bronzer range, the new shades still don’t work for many people.I’ve tried applying the XX Revolution Bronze Skin Cream Bronzer with a BeautyBlender, my fingertips, the Zoeva Face Shape Brush and the Zoeva 125 Stippling Brush, and without a doubt, the best brush for application and blending is a stippling brush. In addition the Nudestix Nudies Bronze, for example, also comes with a brush on the other end which makes it great for travel. However, a lot of people have had an issue with the new ingredient of coconut oil which Chanel has recently added to the formulation. If this applies to you also then it may be best avoided and you could try one of the Chanel dupes below instead.
