About this deal

I recommend this to everyone who grew up with ( I did) or have seen the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, and to everyone who want to read some great manga. It is also drawn in a way I personally like. (I read two volumes of Trinity Blood, Vol. 1 a few days ago and didn't like the way it was drawn, the style felt wrong. (And the characters felt weak.)) For me that is a huge thing. Great picture style makes the reading more fun. And honestly, could you read something where the pictures just disturb you? This is also the reason why Dark Yugi is so extremely dark in this volume, which he wasn't in the original series. When reading the seven volumes that show Season 0, I would recommend suppressing everything you know about the anime or manga, otherwise, this may confuse you. The Millennium Puzzle box is a container, which Yugi Mutou kept the disassembled Millennium Puzzle in until he had recompleted it.

When Yugi solved the puzzle, he kept the box to store prized possessions such as cards. Time Wizard was one special card kept here later given to Joey. The Pendant was later stolen from teenage Atem, by Thief King Bakura, who used it and the other Millennium Items to Summon Zorc Necrophades.Yugi managed to solve the Puzzle, while under the pressure of getting money to pay Ushio's self-imposed bodyguard fee. [5] [6] After solving it, his body bore host to part of Atem's soul, known as Yami Yugi. As the RPG replayed Atem's life, Thief King Bakura managed to steal it again. He once again gathered the Items and Summoned Zorc. However, when Yugi and his friends were able to help Yami learn his original name, Atem managed to summon Holactie the Creator of Light, destroying Zorc without sealing him into the Puzzle or shattering it. Overall, despite the differences between this and the actual series, it also has similarities and is a great read for fans wanting to see how things developed between this version and the true one. The story is sweet and tells you again and again that being nice isn't a disadvantage. Yuugi's humble soul and brave heart is a main theme and creates a good contrast to whom Yuugi become when the Millennium Puzzle takes over. In the anime though, the contrast is clearer (thanks to sound and color). The puzzle is extremely complex and difficult to solve, having taken Yugi at least eight years to successfully assemble it. In addition, in the manga, when Mr. Otogi tried to rebuild it after he shattered it, he ended up almost trapped in an illusion of the puzzle's maze, indicating that only a wise, chosen one can build it, as Ryuji Otogi could also not fit the pieces in. Seto Kaiba relied on the KaibaCorp space station’s advanced supercomputer and zero gravity chamber to reassemble the pieces. It could also be that the puzzle has some will of its own, as Yugi was unable to solve it until the night he played his first Shadow Game; up to this point he hadn't needed the power the puzzle could grant.

Yugi managed to solve the Puzzle, while under the pressure of getting money to pay Ushio's self-imposed bodyguard fee. [1] [2] After solving it, his body bore host to part of Atem's soul, known as Yami Yugi. Yugi wanders the museum, looking for his puzzle. The man with the white robe approaches Yugi. Meanwhile, Kanekura holds his head in fear. Yugi notices the man is holding his Millennium Puzzle, the man asks if he was the one who solved it. Yugi says yes, but he wants to know why the man has it. The man tells himself the one who solves the puzzle possesses the power of darkness; he must make sure Yugi really holds this power. With the Millennium Key around his body, the man decides to peek inside Yugi's mind. The Millennium Key activates, and the man now finds himself inside Yugi's mind. Violence: Multiple duels of sorts that always end in someone's death; no blood or gore, though. 3/5I remember watching Yugioh when I was younger. The theme is song is what I remember the most. I was at the library one day and thought I should start the manga. After Aknamkanon became aware how the Items were created, he fell ill and died shortly afterward. The Pendant was inherited by his son Pharaoh Atem. us shonen jump went up to the duelist kingdom arc and then jumped ahead to the final arc of the manga. unfortunately, that's i stopped getting subscriptions and i never actually read to the end and the anime had fillers after battle city so i never followed up. i wish i finished prior to today because now that'll be bittersweet. Yugi stares at the mummy exhibit for a little longer. The man with the white robe walks up beside him. Yugi looks up and sees tears fall from the man's eyes and asks why he's crying. The man says they are not his tears, he says the mummy looks like a rotten doll. Still, the soul of a great Pharaoh lives within it, and the lamination of the soul becomes the tears within the man. Yugi notices the man is holding a scale. The man pets Yugi's head and calls him a cute boy. Yugi exclaims he's a high school student, as the man walks away.

Yoshimori explains the carvings depict the judgment of the dead: The crimes that people made would be measured with a scale. If the weight of the crimes caused the scale to tilt to one side, monsters would consume those people. Yoshimori then says it's time to see the mummies while Jonouchi gets a little scared, but Honda is really excited. At the mummy exhibit, Miho screams and Honda says it's time. He opens up his arms and tells Miho to jump into his chest. However, Miho says the mummies are cute, they´re like babies with their shaved heads. Honda looks down and sees Jonouchi grabbing his chest, he pushes Jonouchi off him and into the mummy case. Jonouchi glances at the mummy and screams, he tells everyone to move to the next exhibit before they get cursed. Yugi and the gang are reading a newspaper. One of the highlights is an excavation to Egypt. Yugi says they found the king's grave at Egypt and it will be displayed at the museum the next day. Miho thinks it's exciting and she wants to go. Yugi says the professor who found the grave is friend of Grandpa, he'll show them the excavations. Anzu points to a picture of the professor in the newspaper. She then says Yugi's puzzle was also found in Egypt, he agrees. Anzu says the people who found the puzzle all died mysteriously. Jonouchi wonders if Yugi is cursed, but Yugi doesn't think so. Yugi tells himself he does sometimes have memory loss after completing the puzzle, but he decides to keep that a secret. The protagonist, on the other hand, won the duel several times throughout the series, but because the rules are ambiguous and sometimes outright cheating occurs, he is unable to explain why. The Millennium Puzzle has played a critical role in Yu-Gi-Oh!’s main protagonist, Yugi Muto‘s, story throughout the series. Does Yugi Lose His Puzzle? This manga, and the accompanying anime, are what inspired my interest in mythology over a decade ago.

Does Yugi Still Have The Millennium Puzzle?

The man explains the monster is Ammit, a creature that lies within Kanekura's mind. Ammit drools on Kanekura's head, its jaws open, ready to eat him. The man states the final question: Kanekura has violated God's land and has exchanged treasures for money. Does he do it for personal profit? Kanekura exclaims he'll pay money if that's what the man wants! The side of the scale without the feather falls to the bottom. The man says there's no truth in Kanekura's heart. It's all a bunch of greed! As punishment, Ammit consumes Kanekura. The Pendant was later stolen from the then teenage Atem by Thief King Bakura, who used it and the other Millennium Items to Summon Zorc Necrophades.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: Some freaky visuals; a scene or two of bullying; a girl is abducted, but later rescued; at least one or two of the villains could be scary for some kids. 2/5 Takahashi, Kazuki (2003-03-09). Yu-Gi-Oh!. 1. Shueisha. ISBN 4-08-872311-2. i'm very upset about takahashi's passing so here's a story time of what i was thinking as i re-read this for the 100th time: Outside of a game, in addition to their unique abilities, the items' power of the Shadow Games also allow the owners to harness dark magic that they can defend themselves with. The power within the Millennium Items lets their holders perform feats like: putting people to sleep, cloaking himself and others from sight, interfering with other Shadow Games, remote-viewing, etc. The items also give their owners protection from harm, and from other magic.Quantum Cube - a mysterious item (bearing an Eye of Anubis like the other Millennium Items) possessed by Aigami in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions, and is identified as the "eighth Millennium Item". Aigami primarily uses it to transport people to another dimension known as the Plana, but it can also be converted into a unique Duel Disk which he can use to Duel with. After Aknamkanon became aware of how the Items were created, he fell ill and died shortly afterward. The Pendant was inherited by his son Atem. In the first series anime, Shadi entered Yugi's mind room belonging to Dark Yugi, looking for the secret powers of the Millennium Puzzle. Dark Yugi confronted him and challenged him to a game, where he was to find the true mind room amongst the countless mazes of doors that were riddled with traps. Shadi was seemingly unable to alter the room with his Millennium Key. He failed, and was very nearly killed by a particular trap which caused the floor of the room to collapse (in the manga, he stated that if he fell, he'd be trapped in Yugi's soul forever). Dark Yugi saved him and Shadi left, defeated. A similar event happens in the second series anime during the Duelist Kingdom arc, but it is Yugi who rescues Shadi, not Yami Yugi. Yami Yugi also explains to Shadi that the Millennium Puzzle holds the power of unity, just as the many pieces of the Millennium Puzzle assembled and united. Originally, it was said that the Millennium Puzzle had been discovered by a team of British archaeologists in the Valley of the Kings at the beginning of the 20th century. Each of them suffered mysterious deaths, with the last one uttering "The Shadow Games" in his dying breath. [5] [6] This plot detail was later changed. Takahashi, Kazuki (1997-05-06).
