Description

For a while, I had been hoping to see a bigger grinder with 48 mm burrs from 1Zpresso.So when the company reached out to me and asked if I wanted to test the Jx and Jx Pro, I had no hesitation

The Comandante grinder has become one of the most popular grinders in recent years. It’s easy to understand why. It’s a beautiful device where every detail has been obsessively engineered in Germany.

Here we will lay out the top things to look for when purchasing a new coffee grinder. This will help you to work out if the 1Zpresso JX Prois the right fit for you. Burr or Blade Grinder? At the moment, the company only produces hand grinders and a single manual espresso maker. This narrow focus is good; it means that the company can innovate and improve, rather than just copying last years fashion. Meanwhile, the JX-Prouses a standard burr set. The geometry of the inner burr design lends itself to finer grinds, making them more suited to espresso.

If you are looking for a very precise amount of grounds, you need to weigh your coffee beans beforehand to avoid wastage and for the best coffee extraction results. Doing so will require a separate scale. Size: The basic model and the ‘Pro’ share many features, but immediately you’ll notice that the latter is taller and heavier. We’ll begin by concentrating on the JX-Pro and J-Max because these offer the broadest range of grind settings with the smallest adjustment between each setting.

The cups from the grinder are sweet and have excellent clarity and texture. There’s still some way up to the models from 1Zpresso and Comandante, but overall, the cups are still awesome. Ceramic or steel burrs? The burrs are one of the most important aspects of a grinder. All hand grinders have conical burrs. They come in either ceramic or steel. Steel is a LOT sharper (and better). It’s both faster and more consistent than ceramic. If you have the budget, I definitely recommend a grinder with steel burrs even though they tend to be more expensive. The mechanism that actually grinds your coffee beans is either a burr or a blade. And they produce very different results. The other grinders are all similar in size and weight. However, the J-Max and K-Series grinders are a little easier to grip. In comparison, the diameter of the JX-Pro is slightly larger, making it awkward for people with smaller hands. Now when we say pour-over, we of course mean all of the percolation methods encapsulated by brew methods such as the V60, Chemex, Electric Percolator and indeed the immersion method of the French press. Pro-tip: Both the Porlex Mini and the 1Zpresso Mini Q actually fit inside an Aeropress which makes them ideal for travel travel! They don’t develop any heat while grinding The warranty does not cover damage such as rust or wear and tear as we cannot guarantee the product’s usage or storage.

Well, there are just fewer types, technologies, and use-cases, which means there are fewer things to consider altogether.

Only a travel grinder?

Even at the finest setting, it takes only 30 seconds or so to grind enough beans for your espresso or pour over. Even if it is slightly slower than an electric grinder, this is still much faster than most manual grinders. 4.Ergonomic Handle and Silicone Sleeve
