The device also comes with replaceable filters that sit tight between the cup and the device. The filters serve two roles: In our Hypervolt 2 Pro review, we complained at the 2 Pro’s low stall force, which we estimated at only 30-35lbs in our test. This has been our own estimation, since Hyperice wouldn’t disclose the exact number.

However, we did notice that you can charge the battery separately from the device. Which is convenient because you can charge one battery as you continue using another (you won’t need a charging station for this). Some therapists also call glide Cupping massage cupping or slide cupping. For this technique, cups will be moved along the muscle tissue like doing massage using a cup. The difference is that massage using pressure while glide cupping using negative pressure, which breaks the blood capillary and therefore promotes the toxins to be expelled faster. Now, the B37 was already powerful enough with its 56lbs. of stall force and a more than enough amplitude of 12mm. But did Ekrin do anything different with the B37S? There are LEDs around the power button though. The 4 on the right indicate the battery level, while the 5 on the left indicate the speed gears. The Achedaway PRO’s one-button controls. How about the Achedaway Pro vs Theragun? Well, the closest of the Theragun family that could compare with the Achedaway Pro is the more advanced fourth gen Pro. The others have way too weak features for a fair match.

BRAND STORY OF ACHEDAWAY

Overall the ergonomics are good on this gun. A bit bulky and huge. But don’t fret because we talked too much about its size. You can hold it any way you want provided you are getting your massage done. There’s more to look forward to anyway. The Pro is quite heavy and weighs in at 2.65lbs. but ergonomics are good. Bob and Brad went after Theragun’s patented look. The device not just looks surprisingly similar to the mighty Pro, but it also performed pretty much the same when we tested it. 16mm amplitude confirmed – same as Achedaway Pro and Theraguns. Power BFR training helps with recovery, especially from a tough workout or injury to any part of the body. In a recent PubMed study on the effect on the impact of BFR on muscle fatigue development and recovery, it was established that despite the high level of muscle fatigue during BFR exercise, the effect of BFR on muscle fatigue was diminished after 2 min of reperfusion. This shows that BFR has a strong but short-lasting effect on neuromuscular function and helps with recovery. We did try to stall it by pressing it on to our palm, and on the top gear we found it very difficult to stop. We did finally manage to stop it this way but only after taking the speed down a notch. That means the stall force progresses with the speed, which is normal. Not only it has such a high stall force, the amplitude is impressive as well, punching up to 16mm deep – yes, exactly the same as the mighty Theragun Pro.

Read More Read full Ekrin Bantam Review here. Ekrin Bantam is small, light and sturdy – here tested on a hike. That must be brutal, you say. Not as brutal as finding out that the massager you bought with a lot of money is a bust. We simply don’t take chances, so we personally test every device against a set of criteria. We love the device, it’s absolutely worth it – but we’d love to see some little improvements in the future. With the Achedaway Cupper, they are undoubtedly venturing into alternative fitness recovery avenues, which is good to see from a brand we have known so well. Just like Hyperice and Therabody, the brand is definitely on an upward trajectory and thriving. But with a stall force reaching well over 60lbs., there’s no stalling this thing once it starts revving away. We suspect the motor has something to do with this. Not many guns have a motor like this has. This is a monster gun, especially at high speeds.Hypervolt 2 Pro is a good massage gun and we will be recommending it somewhere else. But today we won’t. We feel the price is somewhat high and it doesn’t offer anything special over our other choices. The Theragun Pro can have a prayer with its rotating arm and triangular design and all, but the Hypervolt simply doesn’t cut it. We verified Hypervolt 2 Pro’s stroke length. It is 14mm indeed. Too bad it’s not 30% more powerful. The stall force is the amount of pressure needed to stop the massage gun from revving. Often this happens when you press the head on to your body. But guess what, I have a perfect match for you: the Theragun Pro ( our review here). It combines a lot of power, high amplitude, a triangle ergonomic shape, Bluetooth, and the prestige of a premium brand – all in one device. And after they released the 5th gen, it’s even quieter than all three of those you mentioned. Only the price might be a bit steep :/ More advertised stall force (80lbs. on paper compared to Theragun’s 60lbs.). In reality though they’re about the same. We were also pleased with how quiet this gun is (45-63dB). The smooth, non-disturbing sound it produces is a welcome feature.

However, it remains an excellent option for active individuals, amateur athletes, or bodybuilders who want a wallet-friendly choice. Price Their name literally means “ pain relieved” or “ pain taken away” – whichever way you choose to interpret it. That aside, their Pro device will provide a deep tissue percussive therapy and do so at a fraction of the price a Theragun or a Hypervolt would. Blood flow resistance training works for individuals of all ages and abilities. This training can be much more beneficial for you if you know what you are doing and especially if you are supervised by a physical therapist or trainer with a blood flow restriction certification. If you have health concerns, it is advisable that you see a fitness therapist or your physician to be sure you are cleared for this kind of training. If you need a strong, versatile device that won’t break a bank, give any of these a shot and you will see why we have been so enthusiastic about them.

Achedaway Pro is one of the quietest massage guns we’ve ever tested, which is hard to believe considering how much power this baby has. For a high-amplitude device, it’s incredibly hushed. The use of blood flow restriction training combined with different forms of exercise (resisted, aerobic, passively), has been recommended in a 2019 PubMed study. However, the volume and intensity should also be considered, as well as the amount of cuff pressure, restriction time, size, and cuff material. The 2 Pro has the same T-shape design as hundreds of other guns out there. We are not fans of 90-degree handles, due to poor ergonomics and added wrist tensions. Amplitude, or sometimes called stroke length, is how far the head of the massage gun travels, and this is where this gun shines.
