About this deal

Around 1330, John de Matham married Isabella de Molesey. Her estate became known as Molesey Matham. The manor house of Molesey Matham was built around this time. (The house with its later, mainly 17 th-century, additions still survives at 6 Matham Road). By the early 13 th c. the prefixes West and East were in use. (18 th c. newspapers also referred to Upper and Lower Molesey).
