What makes a good magical mystery book? Is a little bit like casting a spell, answering that question, but I think that in his Walker Books published Spellstone Ross Montgomery has been able to find all the necessary ingredients. Not only do we have his masterful skills of storytelling, but we also find brave characters, a great setting, a wonderful mystery to be solved, an excellent dialogue and plenty of magical high jinks. You may think that you know magic, you have met all the good guys and the bad ones too and that all those spells, well, they have been cast. Until you open the story and step straight into a dream where there are magicians who have been summoned by the dreamer, completely unbeknown to her! Overall, Spellstone is a fabulous book that is exciting and a real treat. I can see it becoming a firm favourite with its readers. Don't EVER underestimate this ability... When Blizzard went to fix our talent trees, they didn't screw with this because they weren't sure how to balance it correctly. Three factions of heroes and creatures to battle and control. The pvp is ok but very awkward at moments. At the beginning, it will be completely unbalanced as you'll typcically be matched with people leagues above you and get destroyed. After that, matchups are fairer.
