About this deal

Designed to deliver an uncompromising combination of light weight, lowprofile looks, and superior ElectroVoice audio quality, the EVOLVE 50 sets a new performance standard for powered column systems. Onboard Bluetooth technology allows you to configure, control, and monitor up to 6 systems simultaneously

Die Sounds des Keys leiden ein wenig unter dem Mono-Mix beim Einsatz nur einer Säule. Das ist aber nicht das Problem oder die Schuld der EV50 sondern dem Einsatz nur einer Säule geschuldet. All the controls are integrated into the mixer section, which includes DSP for setting the voicing, making key adjustments and, in multi-speaker systems, entering any necessary delay to compensate for a maximum of 100 metres of spacing. A simple one-knob/turn-and-press system is used to navigate and adjust the DSP parameters. Rember, when Bose first introduced the line array system, it had no competition. And it got away with charging those ridiculous over inflated prices. People paid those prices since there was nothing else like it on the market. But now there is. Most manufacturers now offer a line array system. And most of them like Electro-Voice, RCF, Maui, Yamaha, etc. offer a lot more, better sound, and are priced much lower. Das war der Trigger, gezielt danach zu suchen. Ich wollte wissen, ob das nur Übertreibung oder tatsächliche Erfahrung ist.A man wanted to do a Bob Dylan song (I forgot which one), when he was done, he looked at me and said "wow, I can actually hear the guitar and harmonica". Needless to say, he was impressed. And this was a song he's sang at other places. Apparently, those other speakers didn't bring out the details, harmonics, and nuances in the music like the Evolve 50 does. Dennoch ist der Sound angenehm. Der Unterschied fällt nur dem Musiker auf, der den Stereo Mix im IEM System hat und kennt 🎧 EV says the lower phantom power is designed for the lower power requirements of condenser microphones, and restricted so it doesn’t blow up your mixer outputs if you happen to plug one in while phantom is on. It’s a fair enough call, but I still think if you’re going to have phantom power onboard, it may as well work. Rounding out the input section, the screen defaults to show input meters for all three channels. It’s a nice touch to see whether you’re peaking. TEETH TO IT I would whole Heartly recommend the Evolve 50 over any other comparable line array system out there. In fact, I would recommend it over most conventional speakers as well.

Pure, accurate Electro‑Voice audio performance in a sleek new form factor. The perfect choice for DJs, mobile entertainers, bands, singer/songwriters and any venue where high‑output portable sound is needed — no other column system currently available sounds as good, looks as good, or is as easy to use. Acoustically powerful, aesthetically discreet: column sound evolves to the next level. Easy Transport & Setup

Electro-Voice Evolve 50 review by Audio Technology Magazine

Easy setup via four presets (Music, Live, Speech, Club), threeband EQ, five userprogrammable presets, output delay, phantom power, input level control and metering, and master volume control to optimize gain structure. Specifications:

The sound is just incredible. There is rarely a night that I don't get compliments. Here's my latest... The perfect choice for DJs, mobile entertainers, bands, singer/songwriters, and any venue where highoutput portable sound is needed — no other column system currently available sounds as good, looks as good, or is as easy to use. The smooth clarity of the EV sound in a sleek new form factor. FULL DISCAIMER: I don't own this system but I did witness a top St. Louis guitarist/vocalist using the EV Evolve 50 at a winery recently. Easy setup via four presets (Music, Live, Speech, Club), three band EQ, five user programmable presets, output delay, phantom power, input level control and metering, and master volume control to optimize gain structure. Specifications:The carry bag houses the speaker array itself and a spacing section or pole that sits between sub and top speakers. Putting the three pieces of the Evolve 50M together is extremely easy — it takes longer to unzip the carrying case and remove the array and pole than it does to connect them together. I particularly like the magnetic assist feature, mainly because it obviated the need for any heavy‑duty mechanical or electrical coupling which, on some systems, can present problems when trying to pull the pieces apart. The EV system works really well and it’s hard to imagine an easier method that would actually work. As far as I can tell, the array section can’t be coupled directly to the base unit, so the spacer pole has to be used. I believe that a shorter section is available as an optional extra, and this would be useful in some applications, for example if the Evolve 50M were being used as a close‑up monitor for say, piano, or for small‑group AV applications. All in all, assembling the Evolve 50M is about as clumsy‑proof and easy as it gets, short of having a built‑in robot pop out of a little hatch and do it for you. The Mixer
