About this deal

Very young Bush baby sitting on driftwood. The habitat of the galago widely varies with the species. Males battle savagely and a loser that can’t escape could also be killed, which is one of the interesting Bush Baby facts. The Bush Baby name may refer to the sounds this unique animal makes, its wide-eyed appearance, or perhaps both. If you’re intrigued by this little animal and want one as a pet, you should know that Bush Babies do not make good pets.

Another issue on the part of humans is trying to domesticate these wild animals and keep them in our homes. This desire is understandable. A small fluffy animal with big cute eyes seems like it could make a good pet. However, it is a really bad idea. Subsequently, they go away a path of damp, smelly foot and handprints alongside their pathways as they transfer via the branches. There are actually around 20 different species of bush babies! However, they are all quite similar in size, habitat, behavior, and appearance. Because bush babies are nocturnal and fairly reclusive, researchers believe there are still more species of this unique animal they have yet to discover. There are at least 20 different kinds of Bush Babies, but scientists think there may be around 40 because they haven't all been discovered yet. Galagos are currently grouped into six genera. Euoticus is a basal sister taxon to all the other galagids. [4] The 'dwarf' galagids recently grouped under the genus Galagoides have been found, based on genetic data, and supported by analysis of vocalisations and morphology, to actually consist of two clades, which are not sister taxa, in eastern and western/central Africa (separated by the rift valley). The latter are basal to all the other non- Euoticus galagids. The former group is sister to Galago and has been elevated to full genus status as Paragalago. [6] The genera Otolemur and Sciurocheirus are also sisters. [6] Garnett's galago ( Otolemur garnettii) Senegal bushbabies ( Galago senegalensis) In many US states, it is illegal to keep bush babies as exotic pets. This is the case with most primates, even small ones, as they are wild animals that don’t do particularly well in captivity and are best suited to their native habitats. Many other countries have also placed restrictions on keeping bush babies in captivity aside from zoos and dedicated wildlife reserves.

Bush babies fold their ears against their heads during the day to keep out the noise while they sleep. Bush Babies is a name given to small nocturnal primates with big round eyes called Galagos that are native to southern Africa. Using its long tail and muscular legs, the Bush Baby has an astounding ability to leap as it can jump several feet in the air from a sitting position to snatch a flying insect. Sturdy hind limbs for leaping and maneuvering throughout canopies, acute listening to, and lengthy nails for stability are different notable options of the Galgos. How did they get the title bush child? Regardless of its small dimension, it’s a very vocal little animal.
