Who is Jane Goodall?

I've read many books from the Little People, Big Dreams series by Isabel Sánchez Vegara, but I believe this is my favourite so far. And I can pinpoint exactly why: This persons history- David Attenborough's - resonates with me. So far, I found the stories entertaining and enjoyed that I was learning new things, which is always a plus. But a person wishing to spend their life with animals I can understand. Written by Isabel Sánchez Vegara it's well written in clear accessible language. The gentle and sweetly whimsical illustrations are well done. The art by Mikyo Noh is appealing and colorful and supports the text very well. The art is rich in small subtle details which bear a closer look (like the little butterflies, bugs, reptiles and more which appear throughout the book).

However, I would hope that those following this wonderful series Little People, BIG DREAMS will see that all sorts of people regardless of circumstance, helps or hindrances, make a different through who they were as individual people. This book was quite an education. With its familiar style of simple illustrations and short accessible text, we learn about Attenborough's childhood and what inspired his love of the natural world. Always accompanied by animals in the illustrations, this is an image of David Attenborough that is easy to picture in real life.

The sights and smells. The touch and sounds within the environment, the chance to meet and understand animals in their own environment. Little People, BIG DREAMS is a bestselling series of books and educational games that explore the lives of outstanding people, from designers and artists to scientists and activists. All of them achieved incredible things, yet each began life as a child with a dream. Little David grew up in Leicester on the campus of a university, where his father was a professor. As a child, he spent hours in the science library, collating his own specimens and creating a mini animal museum. When he was old enough to go to university, he studied science and zoology – but what he wanted most of all was to be close to the animals he was studying. The mini biography and timeline at the end are missing in my e-galley, which is disappointing. I always find these books don't give me quite enough information, and I rely on those bits at the end to help fill in some of the gaps. This empowering series offers inspiring messages to children of all ages, in a range of formats. The board books are told in simple sentences, perfect for reading aloud to babies and toddlers. The hardcover versions present expanded stories for beginning readers. Boxed gift sets allow you to collect a selection of the books by theme. Paper dolls, learning cards, matching games, and other fun learning tools provide even more ways to make the lives of these role models accessible to children.
