About this deal

The dry down finish does have a slightly soapy, powdery edge to it, which keeps it from being too young and cutesty—it almost reminds me of a sweeter, less woody Chanel fragrance—like a less woody and aldehydic No 5 or Coco Madmoiselle without the amber and patchouli. J’Adore is a cooler, fresher fragrance, tailor made for warmer weather and just mature and versatile enough to go from day to night. I can see all ages wearing this fragrance. This is really beautiful. It opens with a fruitiness similar to that of white grape juice, with effervescent (but not aldehydlic) qualities, nearly like champagne. It's deliciously sweet without being heavy or cloying, and I really, really think the topnotes are exceptional. Now there’s no complexity, no seamless transitions from the ivy green notes, to the juicy melon, to the cool lilly of the valley and the creamy vanilla/sandalwood/cedar base. J’Adore became disfunctional when it started smelling functional. J'adore (and LVEB) flankers never cease to amaze me. Most of them I like more than their mamas; same here.

Yes they have a very similar aura and composition, but they represent two different Dior legacies, and its reflected in the distinct blending of that same type of white floral DNA. Like taking two different routes to get to the same destination. It has notes that have a little bit of that "tinker bell" type quality... a sparkling champagne effervescent chemical play that happens as the notes dance on the skin, giving this a very bright playful type vibe -- but with the peach notes grounding this, this warms the scent up at bit. There is a subtle peach tea type note with this which is unique because there are not many other fragrances that have this peach tea note. This later calms down more into a softer finish throughout the dry down. Nothing from the DNA of the original J'adore, thank God. A new scent. Although it does remind me of Burberry Weekend, but by no means they are close, I would just put them in the same family. This perfume starts with the dancing sparkling notes which is what I dearly LOVE about this perfume, that only lasts a few minutes before you are submerged in the salty type oceanic/marine chord. Make sure that you are someone who does well with the saltier notes. If so, this could be really fabulous on you. Unfortunately, this is not really working that well with my chemistry or asthma reactions. It will have to be returned, unfortunately - because I really love the first part of this perfume. J’Adore started, for me, smelling like luxury body products. It went on to intrigue me, and I discovered it’s beauty in the original formula. When I smelt the current iteration, it simply felt off, like a room freshener that tries too hard.

I don't think OG J'Adore smells like cigarettes exactly, but it does have a bit of that vibe on my skin, like the EDT (woodiness?). Again, my skin chemistry and nose preference is biased, as I am very much into strongly vanilla-based scents. I would estimate 99% of my collection has a strong vanilla base. For reference, I adore Miss Dior 2021 when I am in the mood and disagree it smells "mature" or like baby powder. Miss Dior 2021 to me is a youthful fruity vanilla with a wonderful, noble iris/peony/rose/lily-of-the-valley bouquet. I do however love the J'Adore L'Or (newer version- 2017?) for how it has the sparkling, clean, flowery, luxurious feeling conveyed by J'Adore ads, with a special ambery vanillic drydown. J'Adore L'Or to me is a wearable, more elegant, and ageless White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor type of scent. DIVINE and guess what, I am not a fan of J'adore! No offence, it's just not me or my taste. I only liked a bit the EDT Lumiere edition, probably due to the neroli tone of Dior house. It's horrible what happened with this perfume. I really am not one of those people who complain about every reformulation on the market, I actually think that there are perfumes that have gone gracefully through reformulations (Pure Poison, Poison, Obsession). This is not one of them. Yes, in the drydown there is an artificial note, but that's okay, it's bearable; you have to trace it alot. Fot the most part it sets powdery peachy on the skin after a nice detergent-like neroli, which is lost later. As for other florals in my opinion they appear and dissapear. A bit sad about tuberose, because i like the floral and would be happy for a more pronounced one with the already existing peach. But that's okay, at least we have neroli. Well... I owe an apology to many of You that stated here that J'adore after reformulation is just a devastating shadow of it's former self in terms of scent itself and projection.

Dior J'Adore L'Or с ориенталски цветя. Това е отлична композиция, която е много подходяща за елегантни събития след залез слънце. I've had this fragrance for a while now, ever since it was launched. It's a Like for me. Nothing groundbreaking, pleasant and fresh with no usual suspects like lemons or mint. It's sparkling and light, like bellini. Peach usually leaves cheap and plastic feel, but there are no such downsides here. Gorgeous! I mistook the peach for a citrusy or unidentifiable fruity note (I did not read notes before I tested), but when looking for it, I definitely catch the peach. This was a random test, and I was not looking for it. I am just "meh" on the original J'Adore, and I hadn't spent any time interested in the flankers, but the Sephora SA mentioned it to me, so I let her spray my arm after I liked it on the test strip. I love it both on paper and on my arm, although longevity is only moderate.I smell peaches and heady white florals immediately, then you get the pear that sweetens it, the orange and bergamot brighten it up and bring the bubbles, cutting through that peachy and Peary sweetness. Plum is floral but sensual and keeps the scent up, but the musk and vanilla allow that all to settle down against your skin that makes it seem like you just washed with an expensive white soap under it all. I've loved fragrance all my life - even as a child - but it's only in the past ten years that I've tried to learn more about the fascinating history and creation of that world that is perfume and its devotees. I started collecting seriously about then, too, and I recently realized that I had not one Dior fragrance! Well, that was a new reason to add another bottle to the old perfume armoire and I decided on J'adore EDP simply because it's a classic. J’adore EDP is a sweet, crowd-pleasing scent that’s hard to go wrong with. It feels youthful and energetic but with an edge of sophistication. The softness of the florals and fruit makes it more of a spring and summer fragrance. It’s a clean day-time fragrance for work or the weekends.

J'adore is a beautiful floral fragrance with a sparkling fruity opening. Leading directly to beautiful white florals. The jasmine is stunning in this fragrance. I'm a huge jasmine fan, anyway but sometimes it's just perfect and this scent is gorgeous. I'm so glad I don't get any tuberose. I really thought I wouldn't like this scent because tuberose usually ruins a fragrance for me. I'm really not getting it here and I'm so glad.J’Adore is as pleasant and sweet a fragrance as you can get. It’s a cheerful, lighthearted yet calming blend of fresh fruits and gentle green and white floral notes. I get a strongly juicy melon fragrance at the opening, specifically honeydew or cantelope, followed by strawberry, pineapple and pear. The equally juicy magnolia lingers into the heart notes, alongside lily of the valley and tuberose. Or - add something a bit more grounding for a lower alto type chord - pistachio or almond; dare I say vetiver? Guys, just wake up! I love Dior more and more everyday but mostly due to his perfumes. We may have seen thousands of editions coming and go but this one is a must. I've never thought I could smell salt. This was promised by Olympea-Paco Rabanne, WANT-DSQ2, but J'adore in joy strikes 100% of the feeling.
