The Princess Diaries is what got me into YA in the first place. I grew up with Mia's obsession with her A-cup boobs, attending royal functions, witnessing her mom marry her Algebra teacher, snagging Michael (and losing him five books later), battle depression, and her ultimate happy ending. Forever Princess remains my favorite Princess Diaries book to date.

Moreover, after 12 years of being a princess, and numerous *incidents* with the press, I thought Mia would know better than to act the hero by *rescuing* her sister. All that time, I kept thinking- she could've sent Lily. Or Tina. But oh no, she had to go herself and make EVERYONE discover her sister's identity. The romance between them both was very exciting. Tho it moved pretty fast, I never felt like it was unrealistic. We had so many tropes, but I loved them all. Being in love with each other, but not knowing that the other one loves them too, a shorter version of from enemies to lovers, bed sharing and fake marriage.

Meg gave us fans something we always wished for but never dared to dream. So thank you, thank you so much. Way too many exclamation points and too much use of all-caps. Also it's not funny at all (except when there's typos) even though it's supposed to be humorous. It's just dumb. She did warn me about the ending. She said this book has a crappy ending. I listened to her anyway. When she hung up, I really wanted to read the story by myself (even though I know the whole thing already. I JUST HAD TO READ IT MYSELF.) So I did. And I stopped right at chapter 11. I could sense this is where things start to go downward.

She's funny without meaning to be, insightful without realising it, reveals more than she intends, and so allows the reader to not only really get to know her but also see what's going on more clearly than she does, as she's blinded by her own interests, passions and opinions.
