Ich wollte diese Platte an meinem Smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) verwenden, um im Urlaub zunächst den Inhalt der SD-Karte meiner Kamera auf das Handy und von dort auf die HDD zu kopieren, um die SD-Karte wieder löschen zu können und die Fotos zuhause von der HDD auf meinen PC zu verschieben. Sterne, weil die Platte offiziell nur für Windows und MAC verwendbar ist und meine Kritik hier eigentlich nicht anwendbar ist. Der 1 Stern weniger dennoch wegen der (gewollten?) Unfähigkeit des Supports und der undurchsichtigen Beschreibungen Western Digitals.

Das war die zweite SanDisk SD-Karte meines Lebens (ich benutze SD-Karten seit ca. 16 Jahren) und beide waren kaputt (die erste nach wenig Nutzung, die zweite sofort). Dagegen habe ich sehr viele SD-Karten von Samsung gehabt und einige noch immer (für Handys, Smartphones, Tablets etc.) und keine einzige davon ist mir bisher kaputt gegangen. Von SanDisk halte ich demnach nicht viel, auch wenn sie schneller arbeiten. Allerdings halte ich sehr viel von Western Digital bzw. WD - da hatte ich bisher größtenteils (sehr) gute Erfahrungen gemacht, mit internen und auch externen Festplatten (HDDs). No viene en formato fat32 (como por ejemplo un pendrive u otros discos duros de tamaño hasta 2TB). La explicación es sencilla, pues FAT32 no admitiría nunca tener una única partición de 1TB. Las ventajas de NTFS es que además de poder tener esta única partición de 1TB, permite a su vez, contener archivos mayores de 4GB (es clásico el problema que a un disco con formato FAT32, no se le puede poner un único archivo que supere un tamaño de 4GB). Si necesitases que fuera forzosamente en FAT32 por algún motivo, entonces habrías de crear particiones. Tal cual lo sacas de la caja, lo enchufas al cable USB que te viene, y de ahí al ordenador (ya sea PC con Windows 7, 8.1 o 10 o Mac OS X).
