Bose doesn't publish their replacement parts anywhere and I haven't seen any main board replacements available for the Acoustimass 300 bass module. There is one board I found, but I don't think it's for the bass module. I've attached a picture below. Can you confirm that those aren't the connectors on the bass module? Setup took several tries. Out of the box the acoustimass was putting out too much vibration without any good tones. After running the Bose Adaptiq setup the bass was better but still too much thumping without quality tones. I ended up running the Adaptiq setup using positions closer to the acoustimass than my actual sitting area. This helped to bring the vibration down to a smoother and better sounding level. The bass actually sounded good versus just being thumpy. Generally, subwoofers are divided into two categories. You have ones for movies, and ones for music. It’s really challenging to create a subwoofer that is suitable for both. Movies demand punchy, explosive bass that is recreated realistically. Music, on the other hand, demands accuracy and the ability to recreate multiple harmonic tones at once. When we saw that this subwoofer was being promoted for both uses, we were a little worried. However, the Acoustimass 300 manages to handle both roles competently. The "901" was released in 1968 and was a conventional design consisting of two floorstanding speakers. [26] The system has nine drivers per channel, a separate amplifier unit, and an equalizer. [23] [27] Bose has manufactured speaker systems for computers since 1987. Some models have a powered subwoofer.

The Freespace 51 is an "in-ground" landscape speaker that features omnidirectional, 360-degree sound projection, as well as a bass port. The speakers are designed to blend in with outdoor landscaping, and the wiring features "Posi-Tap" connectors, so that speaker wiring can be hidden underground. The 131 Marine Speaker was a flushmount speaker that was meant to be installed on a boat, and could be connected to the boat's receiver. The company's first surround sound speakers were the "Acoustimass 6" and "Acoustimass 10", both released in 1996. [39] [40] Both products were 5.1 systems, with the Acoustimass 6 using "single cube" satellite speakers [41] and the Acoustimass 10 using "double cube" satellite speakers. [42] The "Acoustimass 5" was released in 1987 and consists of a bass module and two "double cube" satellite speakers. [33] This was followed by an "Acoustimass 3" system in 1989, which consisted of two "single cube" satellite speakers and a smaller bass module. Bose Acoustimass 300 - Pros & Cons

The Bose Acoustimass 300 is designed to enhance the overall audio experience, specifically in terms of bass reproduction. Its compact size allows for easy integration into any space, while its powerful performance ensures rich and immersive sound. The real value of this sub is not entirely how it sounds, but how it feels. And in this regard, we were incredibly impressed. Our first test was with an action movie on Blu-ray, and our jaws hit the floor. Every explosion produced an audible blast that you could feel in your chest. Every bullet fired had a tactile pop to it. This adds a whole new level of depth to your movies that you just can’t get with basic speakers. In the 1990s, Bose manufactured a "Lifestyle 901" system that integrated two 901 speakers, the 901 Active Equalizer, and a Lifestyle stereo receiver that integrated an A/M-F/M radio tuner and a CD player, as well as a remote control. You’ll notice that the glass top of the sub is raised off the box but a small margin. This is actually the quiet port itself. Because Bose uses a large and powerful driver, there’s no need for volume enhancing ports. The result is an explosive sound that seems to come from every corner of your room at the same time – an experience we’ve rarely had with basic subwoofers. The Bose 301 Series II is a classic and powerful direct/reflecting speaker system delivering ultra-clear sound with stereo effects of remarkable quality. Direct/Reflecting speaker technology in these Bose stereo speakers lets you experience a live music concert in the comfort of your home. Asymmetrical design of the Bose 301 Series II offers balanced sound effects throughout the room. Integrated 8-inch woofer in this direct/reflecting speaker system provides rich and powerful bass effects. High-sensitivity tweeters of these Bose stereo speakers facilitate wide scattering of the sound, letting you feel the surround effects even if you are at a distance. Dual frequency crossover network in the Bose 301 Series II offers outstanding sound clarity by optimizing output frequencies. [30] The most recent version, the "301 Series V" has been on sale since 2002. [31] 201 [ edit ]

Watching the F1 race along with some choice action movies afterwards gave us a chance to test the SoundTouch 300’s overall output capabilities. Even in an open floor plan space, the SoundTouch could crank out distortion-free sound when called for. Sure, we could get the SoundTouch to cry “Uncle!” when pushed too hard, but our ears gave out long before the soundbar did. If other soundbars leave you wanting for more volume, you just might find it in the SoundTouch 300. Also introduced in 2004, the 251 Series Environmental Speaker was a larger version of the 151 Series. The "Acoustimass 15" 5.1 system was sold from 1998 until 2006, [43] and the "Acoustimass 16" 6.1 system was sold from 2002 until 2006. Both the SoundTouch 300 and Acoustimass 300 come with a limited one year warranty for defects in materials and workmanship. Trying something other than TV and movies showed the Bose combo sound pretty good on music, too. We listened to the Fred Hersch Trio’s recording of that old jazz standard, Mood Indigo, from the album The Fred Hersch Trio Plays, to see how well this soundbar and sub fared with acoustic sounds. The SoundTouch/Acoustimass did a good job pulling Drew Gress’ upright bass and Tom Rainey’s cymbals out of the mix, accentuating them against Hersch’s more delicate piano work. Extended listening sessions revealed the Bose was less adept at reproducing sonic nuance and details, such as on the Tord Gustavsen Trio’s recording of Melted Matter, from the album Changing Places. Here, the SoundTouch 300 diminished some transient information and harmonic decay from Gustavsen’s piano, and on Flamenco Sketches, from Eric Reed’s album, From My Heart, upper register piano notes sounded a shade too crisp and glassy. Still, the SoundTouch 300 and Acoustimass 300 worked well for music, proving quite listenable pair even on more challenging material. Our Take Direct/Reflecting™ speaker technology". www.bose.com. From 1994 until the mid-2010s, Bose sold several 5.1 channel audio systems, which used five small satellite speakers and a subwoofer. Early systems used an in-built CD player, followed by a DVD player and later models were AV receivers (which used external audio sources).

The voice assistant is listening when the light bar slides to the center and glows solid. After a voice command is received, the light slides from the center to the sides while the assistant thinks, then pulses while the assistant is talking. Here’s the procedure: First, you put the speaker on the ground. Next, you plug it into the wall. And that’s it! It communicates wirelessly with the soundbar, so simply having it present in the same room is enough to complete the set up procedure. Until they figure out a way to deliver power wirelessly, we can’t think of anyway that Bose could simplify the process.
