Pre-shredded cheeses are coated in some weird stuff. So skip pre-shredded. Fresh garlic. I like to grate or mince my garlic. You are welcome to use garlic powder for the days you have less than 5 mins to prep something, but fresh garlic really adds to this dipping oil.
