I quite enjoy Rina's book and I don't have a ton of strong opinions about second-generation books, but here we are diving right in. I did like random moments from the book. Like when Landon and Killian teamed up to get “revenge” for Glyn.
Nikolai and Brandon: are actually going to be the first MM romance I'm going to read! And Nikolai is unhinged, but he's pretty obsessed with Brandon, so let's see, hehe, and Brandon is a cutie. The Spring 1987 Journal featured the miniature figure sets of the two Chaos Brothers, Jaek and Helwud, Kaleb's main adversaries in Part 3 of the comic. Part 4 " God Amok!" was also advertised in this issue, but it never saw print. It is uncertain how much of this fourth installment was actually completed. Allegedly the comic was canceled because of "creative differences" between the creators and Games Workshop.Jeremy and Cecily's book is my favorite! Why? BECAUSE THERE IS GROVELING, and if you're going to show the main male character messing up, at least make him realize his mistakes, which usually doesn't happen! RK's dramatic flair for doom and gloom is actually leaking out of this book's every orifice, I kid you not: Very classy.” Cecily rolls her eyes. “You’re supposed to be the granddaughter of the former prime minister.❞ - she's so judgemental please fix her personality before her book rina or i will literally lose hair like ava. I won’t go into the triggers and all the bad things that Killian does, but to say that there are many. Because if you don’t like reading about this kind of guy, then you shouldn’t be reading Rina Kent books. She writes for those of us that like dark romance, bullies, and anti-hero’s and she makes no bones about it. I for one love them and I haven’t disliked a book of hers that I have read so far.
there were some grammar/spelling mistakes. If the mistakes are minor, I tend to overlook them, but there were a couple that had he rereading lines to figure out what was supposed to be there 😬Eventually, the writing style smoothens out a little bit, but here and there RK has a pompously worded phrase ready for describing someone's death, suicide attempt or inferiority complex. Maybe because she is operating under the misapprehension that otherwise readers will be unmoved by the simple beauty of tragedy itself? Who knows. Certainly not us. I just know this will be my favorite series from Rina Kent, I feel it will beat the Royal Elite series for sure, at least for me. At the beginning it was hard for me to catch up with all the new characters, but the tree of them at the beginning of the book certainly helped. I seriously don't even know what to say. I want to say so much, but at the same time, I want to say nothing because everyone needs to experience this book. IT'S JUST SO FLIPPING GOOD. I didn't want it to end, but I just could not stop reading. Despite the fact that this book didn't have the best plot, and Killian and Glen probably won't be my favorite couple, I still liked them. Im obsessed with psycho heroes so how could I not liked this book?
And yet… it’s a dark romance, so I didn’t expect sunshine and rainbow. I took everything in stride, and focused on the characters’ arcs. And that was one eventful ride. Death of peace of mind — bad omens (TMI — the last part of the song genuinely scared me the first time I listened to it lmao my heart fr skipped a beat 💀 I wasn’t expecting it and I couldn’t stop pissing myself laughing bc of my reaction😭) OW kisses H. He has his lips closed as she tries to tongue him. OW Tells him to choke her 😑. The h turns to leave and the H says he’ll f the OW if she leaves. The h leaves but H doesn’t f the OWSo... my previous review was extremely ugly, and I didn't even write immediately when I read this book because I was confused AF about whether I liked it or not, and I was mostly out of my mind too! Moreover, after reading Iqra's review, I felt provoked to write one as well! 🤌🏻 honestly none of this is remotely "romantic". i felt genuinely disgusted reading it and had to take breaks to collect myself. it was not dark romance or some kind of smutty read, it's glorified and romanticized r*pe. every scene in which the mc got closer to each other seemed forced to me One heavily intense encounter and Killian Carson developed an intense and psychotic obsession with Glyndon King. He is a monster adept at charm. His heart is cold and he knows how to manipulate without anyone realizing it. Most see just the charm but the predator is set free in Glyn's presence. She'll try to run but that's just what he's waiting for.
